Earlier when I couldn't sign into my PSN account, I had already downloaded and installed the update just fine. It's for the better though. I probably would have been hella late for work had it let me sign in haha.

Mine came from Amazon and the PS4 box was in the bottom of the shipping box, and then a bunch of air pillows on top. Seemed kinda weird that they wouldn't put some air pillows in the bottom, then the PS4, and then more air pillows. Maybe I just don't know anything about shipping things properly?

i've owned white and elite 360's and all have had the same RROD outcome...fuck the 360
So unfortunate!!! I have a friend who owned 2
PS3's as well and both shitted on him both had the ylod issues which I never heard of before it happened to him.....he then said fuck PS3 took what he felt like was a risk on the 360 (which at the time I couldn't blame him for saying that but according to MS they had fixed that rrod issue)
And has had not one single issue with his 360 elite.....like purchasing. Vehicle or any other thing I guess sometimes we just get lemons!!! Lol

as a owner of 3 ps3's all still working as new from day 1..not one single issue....but yeah could be luck of the draw, could be how i keep them ventilated could be a number of possibilities...with my 360's all kept the same way well ventilated..with very minimal use because i was so afraid of getting the RROD ..they all died..they were fixed, they died...i finally said fuck it and went to sell my elite before it decided to RROD...i had a buyer come over to verify it worked perfect which it was since it hardly saw play...i turn it on and it RROD'd ..the buyer left and threw the fucking thing out the window where it landed and officially broke...garbage consoles

At one point xbox had about a 40% fail rate. Which is unheard of for any product.

My OG day one ps3 lasted till last year when the hardrive failed then something else. Replaced it with a new gen, used, for cheap. So 6 years or whatever for the OG. Plus i treated it like shit, hella dusty always left it on etc. Can't complain.

But I rarely get any kind of electronic device such as phones etc on launch day cuz there are always initial problems. People get too excited with new toys when it's usually best to wait a bit, unless you can find some crazy deal.

My friend said this same exact thing after his ps3's failed lol
But personally I played both and I favored the 360 b/c I simply liked it better.

I remember reading an article where it was over 54% failure rate. I got the rrod too but years after it was released and after the elites were released....purchased an elite and NO issues on mine to current date.

.

Exactly what I'm doing especially after reading an article about people getting "broken" or non functioning ps4's

Instead of sharing FIFA wonder goals or "Call of Duty" action, a PS4 owner has used the new live-streaming feature to expose his wife's breast and strip her naked for the whole gaming community to see.

One of the new ways PlayStation is hoping to bring gamers together is by letting users broadcast their gaming live through Twitch, via a peripheral camera. One game, called "Playroom," records you in your living room playing with virtual creations -- and that's where the problem started.

As reported by website GameRevolution, the couple sat on their sofa drinking until the woman passed out. He then lifted her shirt and exposed her breast for "about 15 minutes." After that he went one step further by briefly turning off the broadcast only to return with the unconscious woman completely stripped naked.

The user was reportedly banned instantly but they weren't the only ones getting up to naughtiness. Some other users made videos of themselves parading around with guns, while others also exhibited instances of nudity.

It was only a matter of time before PlayStation users exploited and defiled the live-streaming feature. At the moment the feature is open for any gamer to publicly display all manner of X-rated shenanigans before they are banned. What this means for its future and the implications of censorship will surely be a big issue for Sony.
