He was cripple before the fight. Go back and you'll see I said Sergios performance with Chavez, while good, showed he was on his way out.
It;s easy to get outboxed when you have had two surgeries and a 14 month lay off and come back and fight a guy who is ranked in the top five. Meanwhile that guy can fight a tomato can who was ranked 17th by one body and not ranked by any of the others, win and it's the greatest thing in the history of boxing.
Fuck Roach and Cotto. I have started to see a pattern with Roach and I hate to say this but Bigface was right all along. This muthafucka really does pick fighters who are shot to hell or on their way out. Fighting leftovers after leftovers, but this shit is clear as day now. Really? Did you just start watching boxing? He wouldn't fight Sergio at 154 when Sergio said he would move down to fight him a couple years ago. He also wouldn't fight Canelo either when Canelo really wanted the fight. He's fought a lot of great fighters and has a great resume, but don't make it seem like he was eager to fight every single guy because that's not true at all.

Cotto was beastin but that was not the same Sergio who KOd Paul Williams and beat up Pavlik, no way. He's done, finished. It's all over. I severely underestimated how much he has left.
I would be happy if Cotto fought any highly ranked MW (GGG, Quiliin, etc). But he won't. It's gonna be Floyd, Pacquiao or Canelo. This can really kill the lineal title here that can be traced back to Bernard Hopkins. That was my biggest fear (not cus I wanted Sergio to win, I hate Sergio lol).

you're missing the point and saying stupid stuff now. He's not built for 154 but just won the Middleweight title. I'm stating the facts. I'd be surprised if Canelo won if he'd fight him at Middleweight. Extremely surprised.
I don't know what happened with the whole Martinez going to the ring last and being introduced last, but those were things that Cotto refused to accept the fight over if he didn't get them. Also the knee brace thing. He fought Yuri Foreman in NY when he was wearing a knee brace, so unless that's a brand new rule, it's more b.s. and bitch behavior from Cotto.
My hats off to him. He did his thing and looks fresh again. Reminds me of what happened to Barrera's career after his loss to Junior Jones. He reinvented himself and prolonged his career and completely changed his legacy. I can see that happening for Cotto. I normally dog Roach, but they obviously work well together.

Wait a second bro. I don't like to have ti defend Martinez but keep in mind he was a 154 pound fighter, moved UP to 160 and beat the bigger, stronger Pavlik for the lineal title. Martinez fought middleweights from there on out. I thought he was a bitch for not fighting Golovkin, but let us not forget history that Martinez started his career at 140 and finished at 160.

Can't blame Roach. No one knew how bad Sergio would be, not until the bells ring. Cotto expressed desire of becoming the first Puerto Rican to win belts in four weight classes. So it was his decision too. Also, Canelo had no belt to fight for.
