did you see his fight with paul williams? That fight could have gone either way as far as scoring and martinez knocked williams down and rocked him continuously throughout the fight. He's slick, very fast and a good counter puncher. Kelly's going to have problems. His weakness is that he may tend to fade late in fights and he sometimes goes toe-to-toe when he doesn't need to (since he's such a good boxer).
i might have seen that fight. i think it was a good undercard that had me confused with the other fights. i think that was my first time i seen anyone give williams a hard time?

Probably unless you also saw the first Carlos Quintana fight where he beat williams on points (but in their rematch williams knocked him out first round).

Williams vs Martinez was one of the best fights of last year, top 3 for sure.

Pavlik with a late stoppage.

Kelly will break him down, with his underrated body work...then finish him off. I really like Martinez though. This fight is sick. Love that stare down pic.

Any thoughts on Pavlik using Everlast gloves against Martinez?
I don't know what gloves he wore in his previous fights, and couldn't find anything online.
I'm thinking his hands may have not fully healed yet.

Damn Kelly Pavlik looked hurt in this fight he had major problems fighting a guy that can move he was just eating left hands and later in the fight those double left hooks were fucking him up.

feel bad for pavlik looks like ring rust and a good shake up from hopkins. all he had to do was stop following martinez around and catch him coming in. it was working for like 2 rounds then all the cuts and blood fucked him up.

anyway that was a good fight for martinez he closed the show like i thought he should.

just found out he's residing in my hometown. read in the paper that margarito is training in my hometown too.

other than that we've had robert garcia and fernando vargas (who's a good friend of a friend) seen him a bunch of times.

i always wanted to train for boxing but i'm too old now and the boxing gym is smack dab in the biggest gang neighborhood here.

I have a lot of respect for Martinez, he did his thing in the ring easy win. Pavlic needs a new trainer asap, he looked horrible in the championship rounds.

Miranda fought smart the first two rounds but turned to show boating instead(not respecting his opponent) and paid the price lol! Bute did his thing.

martinez will get served by a more mobile fighter at this weight, his punches aren't powerful at all just happen to cut pavlik.

Pavlik needs to drop Lowe. I hate to say it, and I'm sure he would hate to do it (history) but almost all fighters who have a no name trainer take them that far...always end up ditching their original trainer to hire a professional. Lowe has no experience training high caliber fighters.

I believe he could be on top again with a proper trainer. Lowe has taken Pavlik as far as he can take him.
