I think Floyd would have beaten Hagler and Duran with ease....

Now Leonard and Hearns is a different story. I don't know who would have won those fights. The Floyd we was a few nights ago would have given Leonard and Hears a real good fight because Floyd didn't fight going backwards like he usually does.

Mayweather beats a prime Marvin Hagler with ease, hmm, is that so tony? If floyd took a shot like below from Hagler or Tommy Hearns he would not get back up:

That's real talk.

I think mayweather could have beat duran at 147 (maybe not at 135 considering how bad mayweather did against castillo who is no where near as good as duran was at 135), but Hagler, Hearns and SRL would all be too big and too skilled for mayweather.

This thread is a pile of shit, but just for the record. I still to this day, think that Miguel Cotto has the right style to beat Mayweather. I still want to see that fight.

Anyone who thinks Mayweather is the greatest ever doesn't know shit about the history of the sport. Period.

Are we talking 147? I think Leonard vs Floyd would have been a great fight. Hearns too because of that right hand but I don't see Floyd standing there at the end of Hearns punches.

I see Hearns, Hagler, and SRL being too big for Mayweather (since they fought at Middleweight) but I don't see them being too "skilled".

I think out of all of them Ray Leonard would have been the most trouble for Floyd.

Cotto's style? LMFAO at that one.... I think Hearns' style would have given Mayweather some trouble.

Top 5? You're on something serious. You have to be putting Ajax, oatmeal, motor oil, fish food, oxycotin, grass fertilizer, Enfamil baby formula, and roofies into a blender, grinding it up, and then injecting it straight into your veins.

Daily.

This is where I came to the conclusion of your bias towards Floyd.
HA!

In their primes, Hearns & Leonard were 147 pound fighters. Hagler was always a 160 pound fighter, so obviously that would be at 160. Funny you said floyd beats him with ease now he's too big.
Floyd would beat Hagler at ease at 147. Leonard would have given Floyd trouble because of his speed and combination punching. Hearns would have given Floyd trouble too because of his style and long right hand.

I don't see Floyd competing at 160 or even at 154..

But we won't know because we'll never see them fight.

As of right now Floyd's the best of this generation period.

And since he's the best of this generation he can argued the best of all time. He's up there with the greats if not at the top.

Hagler never fought at 147 you moron. Hagler vs Floyd would have to be at 160. lmao

Leonard would have given Floyd trouble because of his speed and combination punching.
It's funny that you cannot even come to grips with actually saying floyd would get beat. Just say it tony, it's ok. Leonard was better than floyd, period.

Now this isn't a knock on floyd, as Leonard was truly one of the greatest to ever lace them up, but again, I just want to show you why you placing floyd in the top 5 is madness.

How about Floyd vs Pernell Whitaker?

Hearns would have given Floyd trouble too because of his style and long right hand.
Again, just say he'd lose...

I don't see Floyd competing at 160 or even at 154..
I do. I think floyd can win titles against Sergio Martinez or Kelly Pavlik or Paul Williams at 160 (or 154). He even mentioned Martinez is not out of the question (if pac fight doesn't happen). He looked like he was over 160 pounds on Sat to me, I think he could do it.

As of right now Floyd's the best of this generation period.
Well, even that is debatable, but he has a strong case for it.

Why are you gettin' your panties in a bunch? Why even mention Floyd vs Hagler if Floyd never fought at 160 and Hagler never fought at 147?

I can't say Floyd would lose against Hearns or Leonard because Floyd hasn't lost yet. There's no blueprint on how to beat him. Leonard's speed and combination punching would have given him trouble and Hearns style and size would have given Floyd trouble too. But I'm not going to say they would have beaten Floyd because Floyd hasn't been beaten (yet and probably never will be beaten).

Why not? Sugar Ray Leonard NEVER fought at 160 before, was retired for three years, moved up in weight and fought hagler. (duran & hearns were also welterweights that moved up and fought hagler) This is all fantasy fights anyways, why cant we talk how floyd would do against hagler?

I can't say Floyd would lose against Hearns or Leonard because Floyd hasn't lost yet.
lmao, So the same logic applies to calzaghe. He never lost therefor we can't say he'd lose to a prime Roy Jones, etc.?

^^so I guess floyd and shane were not two of the top welterweights. gtfo of this thread man
Yeah because i have a higher expectations for supossive world class athletes who are supposively on top of their game. They should be ashamed of themselves for throwing one punch and then hugging get broke up throw one punch then get back to the hugging again for 12 rounds this goes on. And I am suppose two be all up on their jock saying awww this was the greatest boxing event ever. Two guys juking and jiving in the middle of the ring trying to look flashy man i ve seen better fights in the school yard and had to pay nothing to see it. if mosely was half the fighter he claimed to be fight would have been over in the second enuff said!!!!!

Look man, Mayweather is a defensive guru. If you don't like tactical fights, don't watch mayweather. Pernell Whitaker was a defensive Guru. Willie Pep. etc etc etc. The history of boxing is several hundred years old, some guys are offensive machines others are defense. There are many different styles of fighting. Mayweather fits into the same category of a pernell whitaker, who is an all time great.

No one said this was the greatest boxing event in history, you're stupid for that comment. People praised mayweather for his performance, and rightfully so. Hit and don't be hit. That's what he did (he landed nearly 50% of his punches and shane landed 15% of his). That's mayweather game.

If you don't like it, don't watch floyd. But at least give him props for doing what he did - no one has beat mosley as easily as floyd did, that says somethign about his skills man. Don't hate, congratulate.
