Why would anyone be scared of anyone?
We are talking about professional boxers here.
You guys swear Floyd or Pac are sweating it at night like "I dont know, I'm pretty scared, I don't want to fight that guy".

That's ridiculous.

Dela Hoya is the most overrated fighter in the history of boxing! That dude got decisions in fights where he shouldve lost:

Pernell Whitaker was robbed
Ike Quartey was robbed
Feliz Sterm was robbed

Also he lost just about every "big" fight he was in:

Felix Trinidad spanked him
Shane Mosley spanked him twice
Bernard Hopkins murdered him
Floyd "Money" Mayweather spanked him
Manny Pac spanked him

That dude was a good fighter but very overrated in my opinion. He doesnt belong with likes of Mayweather, Pac, or Mosley. Now lets keep that chump out of this as we are talkin about great fighters and the greatest in Money Mayweather! Got Em!!
DLH was a smart fighter. somewhat similar to Mayweather. they both don't like to take a punch so their defence are real good. that can lead to a boring fight, now (example) JJM vs Pac are exciting fights because they are warriors and none like to back down. Not very smart on them but exciting for the fans.

Floyd has a good argument for being called the GREATEST but is not on his resume of defeated fighters rather his technical genius and ring generalship. He may be the smartest most comfortable fighter I have witnessed since Whitaker. I never saw Whitaker seem troubled and lost until he got to Trinidad and at that time Parnell was waay past his prime.

Do you consider Pernell Whitaker one of the greatest of all time or not? Answer me that question.
sweet pea was pretty good i guess and had a good defense which is why you are wanting me to admit that sweet pea was good because your arguement from there is well if sweet pea is good then money bags is that much better because he doesnt have any losses??? is that going to be your arguement??? the thing is sweet pea didnt avoid challenges so thats my arguement!!!

My argument is that if you consider Sweet Pea one of the greatest of all time, which he is without question, then floyd must be considered up there as well.

Your whole thing was dissing floyd for not fighting in a more entertaining fashion according to your standards, which are brawls. Well Sweet Pea was rarely in any wars and was also a defensive guru. Like I said, there are many different styles of fighting. If you don't like the defense shit, don't watch those guys. But that certainly doesn't mean they aren't great because they don't fight like pacquioa or arturo gatti etc

Maybe oscar is a bit overrated but his resume is better then ANYONE in boxing. No one fought the guys he fought, period. Win or lose. No one could go through that resume undefeated.

As for losing every big fight, no way man.

Trinidad - Oscar was ROBBED. Seriously man, Tito lost that fight.
Mosley - Oscar won 1 of 2 of those fights. The second one he should have got the decision. And Mosley later admitted he was on steroids for that fight so really it should be a No Contest.

Bernard Hopkins - was too big. Oscar had no business fighting the middleweight champ of the world. He should get props for even trying.

Floyd & Pac - at the tale end of his career. Cant really fault a guy for being past his best days.

And you obviously left out the fights he did win:

Ricardo Mayorga
Luis Ramon Campas
Fernando Vargas
Javier Castillejo
Arturo Gatti
Oba Carr
Julio Cesar Chavez (x2)
Wilfredo Rivera
Hector Camacho
Miguel Angel Gonzalez
Jesse James Leija
Genaro Hernandez

So no, he didn't lose every big fight. He won most, lost some, got robbed a couple times and got a couple gift victories of his own. But man, look at the names on his resume, it's almost unbelievable the talent he fought. There isn't a single fighter today with a resume like that, maybe the closest would be Holyfield.

What the fuck?

Is there someone actually dumb enough to question Oscar's resume?

SMH. He might not have won his biggest fights officially, but there isn't anyone in our generation who has faced the opposition he has faced. Hands down.

^Evander Holyfield has faced tougher opposition. Mike Tyson (twice), Lennox Lewis (twice), Riddick Bowe (3 times), George Foreman, Buster Douglas, Michael Moorer, Ray Mercer. Holyfield went head up against the best heavyweights of our generation.
