I think I enjoyed this fight more but I wouldn't be surprised to see the other one get picked as the FOTY. Both were sick

This was a fight W/ significance! Loved it! This fight will help cement Crawford. I think he's now going to be avoided. I'm happy the folks in Nebraska were treated to what normally doesn't take place there! I'm glad an American fighter is doing it the old fashioned respectable way. Hell yeah! Tonight was good all around
He did catch him with one, wobbled him then proceeded to get knocked out.
As for FOTY I'd agree this was the best fight I've watched this year. Better than Lucas/Molina because of the quality of Crawford & Gamboa and the fight they produced.
That was a tune up then turned out to be a thrilling fight, this was a good fight between 2 top fighters that turned out to be a great fight. I'll always give the edge to better fighters putting together this type of fight.

Before the fight his team said he's moving up to 140 after Gamboa. I'd like to see Gamboa go down to 130.

He steps on the scale at 135 just like everyone else at LW. I can never knock anyone fighting at any weight class if they regularly make weight. If he was missing weight every other fight I'd have issue with him fighting LWs.

He wouldn't be stuck in anything. I'm not blaming 50 Cent more than I'm blaming Gamboa for all the nonsense that happened and then signing with 50 Cent. If you're a name fighter you don't sign with an up and coming promoter. Gamboa isn't trying to cut a record, he's trying to fight.
50 Cent may turn out to be a big promoter that gets his guys big fights on a regular basis but he's not that guy now.

What? Top Rank had Gamboa vs Brandon Rios set. Since he's signed with 50 cent, his had two fights in over two years and both were bad fights for Gamboa. 50 has done absolutely nothing for Gamboa. It's not 50s fault, he intends well, but he's a small time promoter with no experience. He doesn't have the influence or resources that a big time promoter does, like TR.

His dispute with Top Rank came from 50 cent and Mayweather, whom Gamboa was hanging out with. 50 cent paid Top Rank over a million dollars to buy out his contract.

50 cent has basically tanked Gamboa's career man. If he didn't sign with him, we would've had Rios/Gamboa which on paper, is a much better fight than the one we saw tonight, and likely would've made him more money. He's also only fought twice since like 2011.

Boxing just doesn't work like that man. Certain promoters have strangle hold over networks and in turn control most of the big fights that take place. Make no mistake this card tonight had nothing to do with 50 Cent, this was a Top Rank promotions card but on by them, simple as that. I'm not an Arum supporter but Gamboa is known to be a hard guy to work with, just look at how many trainers he went through. Bob had him steadily on HBO and had his career going in the right direction with a Rios fight looming.

Again, blame Gamboa. If Floyd and 50 were in his ear he should have waited until they had all their paperwork straight and then he should have signed. He didn't do his homework, but still, he is in a better position now then he was years ago and he didn't seize it.
