Of course I read it, why are you asking stupid questions? Hopkins reminds me of that hatin ass dude in that Belly movie... remember when dude with the perm was eatin' that banana?
you forget mayweather has talked a lot of shit about hopkins. Hopkins was asked a question and he responded. And that was just a fraction of the interview, 95% of it was talking about the roy jones fight.

Seems like B-Hop is lightweight hatin' to me. Floyd is going to be Floyd and if he likes flashin' his scratch that's on him but you can't knock another man for flashin' and flossin.

Niggs have been flossin' for years datin' back to the pimps, playaz, and hustlaz who drove Cadillacs and had fur coats and all that. D-Boyz don't have to be on the block no more and that's because of technology (the beeper/pager era, cell phones). They don't have to ride bikes and stand on the spot no more, their knocks just call them and let them know when they're coming through.

Folks are still flossin' now (with big 26/28 inch rims, gold grills, fresh candy paints, coke white interior with the brains blew, etc...), it's just what we do. So to knock Floyd for flossin' seems like light weight hatin' to me. If you gone knock Floyd for flossin' then he should be knocking every other nigg that likes to floss too...

He does have good points about how much money he'll have 20, 30 years from now but if he blows it then that's on him.
My intrepretation is not that he's knocking him for flossin but more knocking him for bringing that shit his way like he is giddy and impressed by it. I look at it like he feels disrespected by their encounter. At the same time he was spillin game hoping it would reach Mayweather, urging him to spend your money wisely or you'll end up broke.

I'm not even rich like these fools and I feel the same way that Hop feel...too many mf's fallin in line of the system.

B-Hop aint hating. He is speaking from a grown man perspective and from what he was taught by from the OGs. I know a lot of people who been jacked and wanting to sell their 24 in rims because of getting harassed by rollers because they flossin to much on the block. Those are attention whores wit money but you gotta keep it smart, keep it low and keep stakin till you make a million. B-Hop is right. 2pac is right with one of his lines.

"Dressin down like im dirty, but only on the block, just a clever disguise to keep ya runnin from the cops!" Once again keep it low!

and yes niggaz do still be on the block. what kinda crackhead has cellphones. if they even had or found a cellphone, they would sell that shit first, walk up on the block then cop the product.

Well if that's how you look at it then that's how you look at it.

I see if differently, Bernard Hopkins has jealousy problems.... that's why he wanted Roy Jones so bad after 17 years (because he was jealous of Roy when Roy was pound for pound the best fighter in the world). He had an opportunity to beat him but couldn't do it when it COUNTED! He had opportunities to fight Roy when Roy still had some left, but Bernard demanded a 50/50 split when he could of just settled to get the dude in the ring to even things out.

Now he's jealous of Floyd (that's why he always picks against Floyd). He has some serious jealousy/haterism problems man.... that's why Bernard reminds me of Big Head Rico from Belly.

LMAO, Tony you are STRETCHING really bad bring Roy Jones into the mix and it makes you look pathetic bro, seriously. This is about Hopkins & Floyd, you bringing up jones is just silly.

Bernard wanted a rematch because Roy was the only person to decisively beat hopkins in his career, and he wanted to avenge that loss. I mean seriously tony, you're gonna hate on Hopkins for wanting a rematch??

He had opportunities to fight Roy when Roy still had some left, but Bernard demanded a 50/50 split when he could of just settled to get the dude in the ring to even things out.
Tony, how you going to type this nonsense when you and I already had a conversion about it and now you act like you forget? Hopkins, "when it counted" did in fact agree to his 60/40 but when the contract was written up after everything was said and done it would have been about 70/30 or 75/25 and hopkins said he aint no bitch.

Lets see what Floyd looks like when he's 45 years old. But really, he shouldn't even talk cause all floyd does now is pot shot.

Young Hopkins:

Hopkins vs Glen Johnson

Hopkins was an offensive minded fighter when he was young. Like Naazim Richardson said, he was a seek-and-destroy fighter. After his age advanced, once he hit 40 years old, he physically can't fight like that anymore so he's adapted and accepted his limitations and fights defensively and counters. He does what he has to do.

Compare any fighter in their 40's to when their younger and you'll see the same thing. Did George Foreman fight the same at 45 then he did when he fought Ali? Hell no! Does Evander Holyfield fight the same way he does now then he did against Mike Tyson? Hell no!

hopkins said he aint no bitch.
Yeah Hopkins also said that he'd never lose to a white boy and what happened? LMFAO.....

He called Floyd ignorant but if that (saying I'd never lose to a white boy) wasn't ignorant I don't know what is.

So much for being the "American Dream" huh.....

That's called hyping a fight, just like he threw down the Puerto Rican flag against Trinidad. That has zero to do with the topic at hand which was floyd's spending habits, flaunting money, etc. No where did bernard say anything about floyd's ability to hype a fight.

Nice of you to avoid all of my points, once again.

It's like do you even know what we were talking about? You were talking about Roy Jones and I responded in great detail. You come back with a short response about Calzaghe. WTF is wrong with you? ADD?

Ain't no ADD over here....

Bernard is hatin' period. He's hatin' on Floyd like he hated on Roy Jones for all those years (17 to be exact, so now that he got his one victory over the "shot" Roy Jones maybe the hatin' will stop).

Didn't Bernard talk bad about McNabb too? Whoops, guess my ADD is kickin' in huh.

And you said hyping a fight? That's a sorry ass excuse bruh....

He said he "would never lose to a white boy" and what happened? He's the one who looked like a fool because I thought he won that fight but "Corporate America" robbed him because he said something stupid and ignorant. If he would have kept his mouth shut they probably would have given him the fight.

So that makes Bernard look like a hatin ass hyprocrite.

LMAO you're so sensitive when it comes to Mayweather, your nutthugging is extreme. Everyone co-signs Hopkins statement cuz it was some real shit, period. You go on and talk about coke-head calzaghe?!

Didn't Bernard talk bad about McNabb too? Whoops, guess my ADD is kickin' in huh.
Yep, stay on topic. Didn't McNabb get traded??

And you said hyping a fight? That's a sorry ass excuse bruh....
What do you mean? Him saying that and confronting calzaghe is what made the fight reality, HBO wasn't even interested until that altercation happened. That shit was talked about nonstop so yeah, I call that hype.

He said he "would never lose to a white boy" and what happened?
Schooled calzaghe but the judges gave the nod to the guy that threw more punches but didn't land anything. That's typical in boxing - throw more punches you win.

Hopkins also gave rice & beans to Papa Trinidad and threw the PR flag on the ground. What happened? Every Puerto rican and their mama ordered the pay per view!

He also slapped winky wright in the face because rumors were PPV numbers were going to be low, after the slap every major media outlet showed the clip and they had a successful PPV.

He's the one who looked like a fool because I thought he won that fight but "Corporate America" robbed him because he said something stupid and ignorant. If he would have kept his mouth shut they probably would have given him the fight.
Oh yeah cuz corporate america are the 3 judges lmao. It was a split decision loss, no big deal.

So that makes Bernard look like a hatin ass hyprocrite.
How so?

And again tony, were were talkin about roy jones & floyd's money problems, why the fuck are you talking about calzaghe still?

Just telling it like it is.... like always you can't handle the truth. So like Moreass you call me a nuthugger/nut rider because that's all you can resort to. That's when I know I got you.

The title of this thread should read "Bernard Hopkins hatin' on Floyd Mayweather"

I brought up Roy and Donovan to help you see the pattern.

Bernard Hopkins is a hatin as hypocrite as evidenced by his hate towards Floyd, Roy, and Donovan McNabb.

So now that Donovan has been traded let's see how hard Bernard pulls for his replacement in Kolb. Let's see if Bernard critisizes/bashes his replacement. He got on McNabb for not having heart and not going all out but didn't Bernard lose to Jermain Taylor twice? Did Bernard go all out in his losse(s) to Jermain Taylor? Nope, that's why he lost both times.

What?!? You're not staying on topic and you avoided all of my points. If you think you got me you're crazy

Everyone agrees hops was speaking the truth except you. See the pattern?

So now that Donovan has been traded let's see how hard Bernard pulls for his replacement in Kolb. Let's see if Bernard critisizes/bashes his replacement.
God forbid a die hard eagles fan critisizes one of the players! not like that has never happened.

Bernard lose to Jermain Taylor twice? Did Bernard go all out in his losse(s) to Jermain Taylor?
If you honestly believe hopkins lost twice to taylor then you seriously do not know how to score fights and once again your credibility is shot.

Just telling it like it is.... Jermaine beat Bernard twice! Bernard didn't pour his heart and soul out during those ass whoopins' did he? If he did, then he probably wouldn't have lost.

Bernard is a hyprocrite period!

Ok now you either are lying or again, you don't know how to score a fight.

Bernard didn't pour his heart and soul out during those ass whoopins' did he?
LMAO! Now it's an ass whooping huh? Jermain never even came close to hurting bernard and Jermain is the one that nearly got knocked out in the final rounds in the first fight holding on for dear life.

Let's not forget bernard was 40 years old at this point as well. Again, lets see what floyd looks like at 40 if he's still fighting.

If he did, then he probably wouldn't have lost.
The overwhelming majority of people believe bernard won at least one of those fights.

Even if he didn't and he lost legitimately, what does that have to do with Hopkins speaking on Floyd's money problems, etc.? Right, you're not on topic

Its frustrating even reading someone else try to debate with Tony. Ugh.

The guy just doesn't get it, and blindly defends Floyd Mayweather Jr despite the fact that anyone with a brain would know that what Bernard said is the truth.

Ok back on subject.... check this out.... I gotta learn how to embed!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBAoRSQvJcQ
what kind of retarded ass video was that? lmao

And you call Bernard a hater?

Floyd hates on EVERYBODY, even people that aren't fighting anymore. He hates on Sugar Ray Leonard for losing to Norris, when in fact SRL was old and past his prime. He knocks the Greatest Sugar Ray Robinson for "losing 19 times." He disses everyone. Who has the jealously problems? Floyd wants everyone to think he's the greatest of all time and whenever someone else is mention floyd goes into a temper tantrum and tries to discredit that person, despite their greatness.

Like RA said:

So that jealousy, what they want to do is discredit an athlete and make him look $h!tty and that's the history of Mayweather and what he does. It's like if you compare him to Sugar Ray Leonard, he will discredit Sugar Ray Leonard. If you compare him to any fighter, he'll try to discredit that fighter.. 'Oh, Bernard Hopkins... Hopkins lost.. either the guy is a loser or a cheater. Nobody can be great except him in his mind and it's pretty disgusting.
