I know what I said.

Apparently you missed where I said that I've seen some shit and talked to some people who slightly changed my perspective on this issue.

I said that in this thread. In response to your post about being shocked I'd say what I did in here about respect.

It's not like I have to remain the same person every day. If you don't elevate, or change, you ain't doin shit but stagnating.

And I'm not about to explain every last detail of what I meant by what I said either. So people can interpret it however they want. I got other shit to do besides defend myself on here lol...
yeah thats my fault i was takin a while for a reply cause i had to look that shit up...then once i posted it i read how u said u have seen some shit...but hey it is what it is ....alot of folks on here are quick to say some bullshit bout the military and its service members...but they never realize how hard it must be to be a family member and have a Marine or soldier in uniform knock on your door, and tell u that your son or daughter has died ...like you said 99% of people who join are for real legit good cause ...they are not like some people on the sicc who look up internet articles and read about gov't conspiracies and say" blah blah u signed up for it your an idiot, its your fault your dead" blah blah..i knew alot of people who signed up leaving their much higher paying jobs to serve, just to have that feeling in life that they served the country and just to continue a family tradition like me....

I know, nobody expected that response from me I bet. I saw some shit that really changed my opinion on some of it. Altho I still think joining is stupid. I have respect for people who provide for their families.

I got a friend who was in the Navy, he hated it, but he did it cause he had no money for school and he wanted an education and to provide for his family.

That I can respect.

I know, I'm not telling you that you aren't allowed to say shit. I'm just saying, at some point, people should learn to have some fucking respect for their FELLOW HUMAN BEING.

You're right, and I've stated HUNDREDS OF FUCKIGN TIMES.....

NOBODY HAS TO AGREE WITH ME. I'M NOT LOOKING FOR PROPS, OR PEOPLE TO AGREE. I SAY WHAT I DO CAUSE IT'S WHAT I AM THINKING WHEN I SAY IT.

I talk hella shit on Ted Kennedy, fuck that faggot. He intended to let that woman die, and I don't respect people like that and they don't deserve respect or compassion.

I don't care, honest, it doesn't effect me. How you speak to people, and treat them says more about you than anything else.

Don't get me wrong dog, I talk shit and I'm not perfect....but acting like they all deserve to die is just out right disrespectful.

If they went there to kill, and they get killed, fuck em, oh well.

If they went there with the intention of protecting this country and helping everyone else, that's commendable. It doesn't mean that they did that, or helped anyone, but at least they had good intentions.

yeh, alot of people are withdrawn form the war. They don't have any idea whats its like to be a Soldier or Marine or there families. My moms has had that knock on the door before but luckily it was just to tell her that my step dad had got wounded in a rocket attack at there combat outpost, but didnt die thank god. She peered out the window and seen a Soldier in uniform her heart sank, she said...but she opened the door and there was no chaplain and they told her what happened. She had to go out on some of those though...to give wives the news that there husband had died, she said it was the hardest thing she ever had to do or be apart of.

The job they signed up for was to defend YOU and our nation. They don't play politics, and they don't start up wars. They do their job. They don't sit behind keyboards and bitch about shit, then don't do shit.

R.I.P. to some people who believed in our nation and put that belief into action. It's a job that only a small percentage are willing to do, yet everyone wants to chime in about.

*yes I know my location says Germany, I'm an American living in Germany*
I have no problem with people joining the army, but they did have a choice. I'm sure almost every soldier joins with the intention of "protecting the country", but the sad thing is they really aren't doing much defending of America in FUCKING IRAQ. Everyone knows we are in Iraq for illegit fucked up reasons. I see these soliders as victims of our greedy ass gov. if anything.

They are fighting ghosts! People that don't exist now?

Army: a large body of persons trained and armed for war.

Just because an armed group of people doesn't have the backing of a currupt government doesn't make them any less effective (never heard of guerrilla warfare obviously).
You better stop assuming shit my man cuz you don't know me. I know exactly what Guerrilla warfare is. I was going to bring it up earlier but I wanted one of you geniuses to tell me who the US Army was fighting over there. Since they're not fighting the Afghan army, not fighting the Taliban, not fighting Al-Queda, not fighting any other terrorist group, they must be fighting random ass people like you and me right? Let me ask you this, if the US Army is fighting the Afghan civilians, who the hell trained them? It wasn't the Afghan government, according to you and ya boy, the Taliban doesn't exist. I guess people over there are just born with the skills to fight the greatest war machine this world has ever seen right? You ever heard of the saying, "cut off one cell, another cell grows in it's place."??? If the Taliban & Al-Queda are non-existent, and we aren't fighting the Afghan army, another cell must have taken it's place then right? I'm just speculating, since nobody seems to know who the United States military is fighting.

That's your opinion though. If I want to sit here and call a dead police officer a dead pig, that's me (I'll get massive props to, so what does that say?). If i want to call redneck billy bob who got his head chopped off in iraq for being apart of brutal oppression an idiot, hey that's me, what do you care?
Learn a little about the demographics. Redneck billy bob has a 30% chance of being black or hispanic. I hate to shatter your stereotype of the "white redneck dumbass soldier (probably from the south)".

There's a chance that "redneck billy bob who got his head chopped off in iraq for being apart of brutal oppression" was from your neighborhood and was just working to get some college money.

I read the last death...
Spc. William Z. Van Osdol, 23, of Pinson, Ala., died Aug. 19 at Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy rocket fire struck his quarters. He was assigned to the 172nd Support Battalion, Schweinfurt, Germany.

I been to Diwaniya before and where this guy was at was a compound I think it used to be the University. There are a gang of bunkers and barriers which makes it difficult to get in.What sucks was the quarters one would think they was somewhat safe. The place is like a base with a Commisary/exchange, chow/mess hall, barbershop. ( I slipped away from my squad and got my haircut there)

Oh no shit, wow thank you so much you are awesome with your facts I didn't know that I thought the army was 100% white this entire time. Thank you great one for schooling me there. But maybe I used redneck billy bob since there is a 70% chance he's a white redneck.

For now on, after I say redneck billy, I will also include stupid ass Jose and uncle tom Tyrone

There's a chance that "redneck billy bob who got his head chopped off in iraq for being apart of brutal oppression" was from your neighborhood and was just working to get some college money.
Well he shouldn't have got in over his head

I'm late but...

9/11 was the number one reason he joined the military.
I don't know where you're getting your info from, but I read a whole article about it in Sport Ill, and saw the OTL report on ESPN. PAT TILLMAN JOINED UP BECAUSE OF HIS BACKGROUND. Period. I heard it come out of his mouth.
you're both right. He joined because of 9/11 and thinking about how most of his family had fought, and for some reason thought it was a better thing to do than play in the NFL.

And once he got out there he realized how fucked everything was and was actually planning on speaking out against the war when he finished his tour. Which is why his death was so shady.

Exactly! Pat Tillman was against the war in Iraq. He was killed by "friendly fire." He didn't go to war to "kill towel heads," he went because of the other factors that I already mentioned.
