That's what Floyd has been saying all along bro. He doesn't deserve 60/40 because he keeps screwing around. Now he'a asking for the same money he's always been asking for...

Lol, Hersey is pissed off, lmfao.
He absolutely doesn't. At first I was saying to be fair Floyd, be reasonable, but how the fuck can you be reasonable when a guy is being a puppet and his string puller is coming with EVERY FUCKING EXCUSE KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO MAN? You don't want to fight in MAY because of a cut but you can fight in JUNE and the cut is not an issue????????? WTF?????????? YOU NEED A STADIUM TO BE BUILT? A STADIUM NIGGA? YOU GOT A SPOT IN VEGAS! JUST CHARGE MORE FOR THE TICKETS, GODDAMN.

Random testing. No ten million per pound shit. No PPV cut. $50 million. 20% Increase to the winner if there is a rematch. Card has to be on sho and hbo as Manny is contractually obligated to hbo.

I'm sorry, but this is fair. After reading Bob talking about building a goddamn stadium, cuts and a June fight I'm convinced these niggas are on some BULLSHIT.

sounds like arum is stalling because he doesnt have faith in manny.
its not rocket science that everyone would benefit from this fight financially. even with a 70 30 split, manny and company would still make out like bandits. arum just doesnt have faith in manny and like ugly nigga said, would stand to lose out on future pay days if manny did lose.

Wait bro.... here's more..... All cut and pasted....

Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather: Unraveling The Statements Of Bob Arum - Bad Left Hook

"Until we hear from Mayweather that he wants to fight Manny in May, you really can't pin Manny down."

With a little twitter outburst today, Mayweather firmly dimissed Bob's first excuse by calling out Manny Pacquiao by name for the May 5th date.

Bob's second excuse was a little more involved and took into account the potential economic implications of making the fight on "short notice."

"If we did it on May 5, we will be limited to the MGM Grand and we would probably do a record gate of $20 million. If we did it in this new temporary arena, we would do a gate of around $60 million so the difference even if you take off the cost of building the structure ($7 million), which would be amortized over two years, is a minimum of $40 million. It's an extra $20 million for each fighter which is a lot of money. But that's a choice the fighters have to make."

It stops right there. Pacquiao is with Top Rank. In order to fight Pacquiao, Floyd HAS to work with Top Rank. End of story.

but what else was he supposed to do? He is telling the man "I will give you SOMETHING" so you can step aside and let us make this FIGHT. What else did Floyd need to offer this man?
Why does Floyd have to offer him anything? That's were the logic fails. Floyd doesn't need to be concerned with who Pacquiao's promoter is, where Pacquiao's money is going, etc., because Floyd is going to get HIS money regardless of who Pac's promoter is. Floyd shouldn't be worried about having Arum step-aside. The reason he's even thinking that is because he probably wants it to be a TMT/Haymon/Showtime only event (meaning even more money for Floyd). He doesn't want a co-promoter. But that wont fly. That's just another roadblock. Pacquiao is under contract w/Top Rank, Bob obviously isn't going to "Step aside" so he shouldn't even be thinking about that (which is why I said it's absurd).

The more shit they say, the more we see who holds the majority of the blame. Was Floyd being unreasonable in some of his demands? Yes, Floyd being unreasonable with $40 million and a cut of ppv (or no ppv), sho only when all Manny has to do is fight ANYONE, two times, and he'll have that $40? Yes, but first it's blood. Then it's a $10 million weight penalty per pound that Floyd AGREED to, then it's this and then that. Stop coming up with BULLSHIT.
All that other bullshit needs to be ironed out. No doubt about that. But at the end of the day, it's ONLY going to happen if it's Top Rank/TMT and HBO/Showtime. This must be understood right off the bat or it's a no deal.

Listen, the ONLY time you don't fight a person is when they say they don't have an issue with you or don't want to fight. But Pac and Arum STAY saying shit about Floyd, Oscar stay saying shit about Floyd and for what?
Right now, this is 1000000x better than it was in the past. The trash talking, the lies, the disinformation from BOTH sides in the past was horrible. Right now, things are pretty damn peaceful. If the worst thing Arum has said is that Canelo deserves to fight on May because he's Mexican (but everyone agrees if Pac/May happens Canelo isn't fighting in May), then they are so much further in the past years. Huge progress.

Manny, bob, oscar and whoever, if you don't make the fight keep Floyd's name out of your mouth and move down to 140. Just stop talkin on this man and doing this shit just to build up your own cards and fighters. Let your guys fists do the talking. Sit at the table and get the damn thing done or let it all fall apart and go head to head with your own cards that weekend and let's see what happens.
And I think that's happening (at least the positive discussions between the two sides) because there is a lack of information and a lack of trash talk. Those are positive signs that talks are underway. In the past, again, each side said so much BS it was crazy. none of that is happening right now.

He's not talking about building a stadium right now. That was last year or the year prior when bob proposed to have a temporary stadium built in vegas to hold 60-70,000 people, something that was very common in the 80's for mega fights. Right now that's not a proposal. What we don't need to do is talk about all the failures from the past negotiations, all that matters is RIGHT NOW. Both parties have been guilty in the past, that's undeniable. From Bob to Oscar to Schaefer to Haymon to Floyd to Pac, all of them have f'd things up in the past. The only way it will work now is if everyone moves on from that, focus's on what needs to happen to make this fight in 2015.

If MANNY is not saying, LOOK BOB, I KNOW YOU ARE THE BOSS, BUT YOU NEED TO STOP THIS SHIT AND I'LL MAKE US BOTH SOME MONEY, then what else can be done? CEO's, Owners and principles often step aside to make things happen. Shit I WISH our CEO had stepped aside when we were negotiating with Clear Channel. I agree, it is a positive step but man, you gotta admit that the shit coming from Arum was out there. I will only fight if you take a blood test is one thing. But the shit from Arum? Bro, he might as well said he couldn't fight because of an impending UFO invasion, it's a "WTF?" if I ever saw one.

We'll think about it this way...if Floyd decisively whips Pac's ass May 2nd 2015---> Pac vs ? In November 2015 is a lame duck fight and so is Pac's two remaining fights in 2016. Pac's numbers will plummet so fast he will be doing 75K-100K PPV BUYS which is probably not profitable at that point...and even the Chinese Casinos aren't going to keep supporting $20 million dollar purses to Manny. Both Arum and Manny know this full well. So they either get a preposterous 1st fight split with Floyd 50/50 on everything (won't be a 2nd fight)...or continue fighting 140 fighters who are coming up from 126 all the while yelling Floyd is a coward.
Pacquiao is going to retire soon. It's in his and Bob Arum's interest to make this fight now. If Bob Arum wants to maximize everything he possibly can from Pacquiao, the time is now. Pac is 36, Floyd 37 I believe. Each have 2-3 fights left in their careers. Bob Arum is completely out of options for Pacquiao as he's fought everyone there is to fight in Top Rank's stable of fighters.

I know it was for the previous negotiations and I am saying that is BULLSHIT. Manny has fought in vegas before and if it is an issue of money, which it is, charge a hefty price for the tickets. You don't need 70 fuckin thousand people in attendance. This ain't the 80's. You have ppv, close circuit, streaming, etc.

Right now, what is fair to me, is $50 million for Pac, 15 for Arum to let someone else negotiate, fight happens in vegas, Pac gets 10% of ppv or double the amount of ppv from his last three fights AVERAGED, whichever is LESS, 147, no penalty, 20 increase goes to the winner sho/hbo co branded event.

Bob Arum doesn't do any of the negotiating. That's Todd Duboef. Floyd (or Al Haymon) would be dealing directly with Todd, not Arum. Duboef handles most all of the business operations including negotiating.

When you have your BOSS saying you can't fight because you are scared of needles, that you can't fight because you have a cut, that a stadium needs to be built in order to fight, etc, then why can't he offer him anything? See above. Floyd doesn't even negotiate himself, that's his man's job Al Haymon. Haymon would be making the contract, negotiating with Todd Duboef directly. Arum doesn't deal with any of that so what he says to the media doesn't even matter. He owns Top Rank but like Oscar de la hoya when Schaefer was running things, he's not the guy that's doing the day to day business deals, match-making, making contracts, etc. That's Duboef.

I understand that but does ARUM have to be the one negotiating?
See above.

This is better because I did not know about the cut thing, the date and the reason why it couldn't be made was because a stadium needed to be built. What else will Arum come with?
Not sure about the cut, but the fight in 2012 never needed to have a stadium. That was Bob's idea. It certainly wasn't a requirement.

I've always known Arum is crazy. He's 80-something years old. He's like boxing's Al Davis towards the end of his life. Says and does some wild stuff. But unlike Al Davis, the good news for Top Rank is that Arum isn't invovled in pretty much anything, other then doing the press conferences and you know, promoting. All the business is done by Todd (who will own Top Rank when Bob dies) and the rest of the Top Rank team. When Arum says stupid shit, just roll your eyes and realize he's a senile, bitter old man that isn't even playing with a full deck anymore. Half the shit he says makes no sense (which is why he contradicts himself so many times because he's not involved in the day to day operations of Top Rank and it's fighters. The guy sometimes doesn't even know who his fighters are).

Ok, so why is Floyd saying for Arum to step aside? He is SPECIFICALLY saying Arum bro. He isn't saying, "I won't fight Manny." He is specifically saying Arum is in the way and needs to step aside, by the way, here is 10 mill to step aside.

See above. Floyd doesn't even negotiate himself, that's his man's job Al Haymon. Haymon would be making the contract, negotiating with Todd Duboef directly. How is what he saying to the media not gonna matter when he is the leader of top rank and the media is going to report it? And he is UP FRONT and SPEAKING, moreso than Oscar, so why is the shit he saying not gonna matter?

See above
I did. Arum needs to go.

Not sure about the cut, but the fight in 2012 never needed to have a stadium. That was Bob's idea. It certainly wasn't a requirement.
An idea? An excuse is what I call it and then he tries to pass it off as if it is the fighters choice.

LOL. But this is the problem bro, you put shit out there like that and people believe it. I don't care how old and senile he is, shit I'm old and senile right now, fuck it but this man is holding back a 9 FIGURE fight. Sit your ass DOWN, take this hush money and let the people who have some sense negotiate.

He's saying TOP RANK step aside; meaning he wants TMT/Haymon to promote the entire thing, not Top Rank.

No, what I'm saying is if you have Todd and Haymon working out a contract and both sides agree to everything (let's say 60/40 split, May 2nd, MGM in Vegas, 147 pounds, etc etc etc) it doesn't matter what Bob Arum says about Canelo being a Mexican fighting on a holiday.

An idea? An excuse is what I call it and then he tries to pass it off as if it is the fighters choice.
It was never a requirement, HERSEY. It was a proposal. Building temporary stadiums for fights was very common practice and they do it with other sporting events as well. It was never a "Deal breaker". Now, the cut, that could have been an excuse because I don't recall much of a cut from Manny and even if there was a cut it shouldn't take that long to heal. Maybe for whatever reason they wanted to fight Floyd after he went to jail, they didn't want it that May (2012?). Don't know. I've said in the past I put that failed negotations on team Pac/Top Rank. Team Floyd have spoiled negotations as well, but that specific time was on team Pac.

We don't know if he's holding anything back right now. I think he has in the past (see above regarding 2012), but we don't know anything right about the on-going negotiations. No real details have came out (a good thing imo).

But yes, I will be glad when Bob does finally step aside. You can pull up quotes from me YEARS ago in this forum talking about how I can't wait for Todd Duboef to run Top Rank, because he's innovative and thinks outside the box. Arum is a dinosaur and is trapped in his old ways (although I'll give him credit for tapping into the Chinese market). From everything I've heard about Duboef, he's very easy to work with and has a lot of bright ideas for the sport. But like Don King, Arum just wont fucking die lol

He's saying TOP RANK step aside; meaning he wants TMT/Haymon to promote the entire thing, not Top Rank.
Yet he offered Bob Arum, not TR, 10 million to step aside and let them negotiate. He never said "I offer top rank 10 million to step aside and let the negotiations happen." So I don't know about them promoting the whole thing, that could be what he meant, I don't know man. I do know he said he wanted to promote the whole thing, I don't think that's right but I don't know about that 10 being for TR to step aside.

Agaon, Bob, why the fuck are you speaking about anything other then something positive pertaining to the fight? Most people with SENSE would be like "we are doing everything we can, we want to make the fight happen, blah blah blah." Instead, he and Oscar join forces in throwing Floyd under the bus, come on man.

Bro, look at the language contained int he paragraph where Arum talks about the stadium then look at the link Tony posted. Read what the guy said about the stadium being feasible or not.

We don't know if he's holding anything back right now. I think he has in the past (see above regarding 2012), but we don't know anything right about the on-going negotiations. No real details have came out (a good thing imo).
Bro, when you are throwing the fighter under the bus, for NO REASON, and trying to rally racial support, you're holding shit back.

I remember you saying these things and I don't think you are supporting Arum. You're simply saying all sides have fucked up and Arum is on some weird shit, don't pay attention to him. I get it, but at the same time bro, all he has to do is say some slick shit, the media is gonna pick it up, it gets reported and now we're all spinning our heads and going back and forth, fuck that shit. Keep your damn mouth shut and say NOTHING about the guy unless you are gonna fight him.
