How in the world would you know if he's not telling bob arum to make the fight?
What I've said pages ago still holds true today - we know nothing about the on-going negotiations and talk. There literally is nothing for us confirmed by anyone. The only thing we know is that there are talks of some sort.

Arum, who promotes Pacquiao and has been working with Cotto in negotiations with Alvarez, said Alvarez is more entitled to the date because of his Mexican heritage.
Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya, who promotes Alvarez and has had a working relationship with Mayweather, agrees with that sentiment.
“Let me tell you something, and this, I really feel very, very strongly about,” Arum said. “That weekend celebrates Cinco De Mayo, which is a Mexican Holiday, which commemorates the outstanding, courageous stand of a lot of Mexican civilians who turned back the French Imperial army, and it’s a significant holiday in Mexico and among Mexican Americans who live in the United States. That being said, neither Mr. Mayweather, nor Mr. Pacquiao, nor Mr. Cotto, who is Hispanic, but not Mexican.
“The only Mexican in the group is Canelo Alvarez, who is a big attraction among the Mexican people. And to poach on that date, which is a Mexican holiday by non-Mexicans, shows a terrible disrespect for the Mexican people, both those living in Mexico and those living in the United States. And anybody who does the poaching ought to be ashamed of themselves. That goes for hotels and that goes for f!ghters and that goes for any of us. I’m willing to make that statement.”
Said De La Hoya: “Bob has promoted boxing for more than 50 years and understands the importance of the Mexican and Mexican-American fan. Canelo wants to take back the tradition and f!ght on Cinco De Mayo for his fans all over the world.”
Arum stopped short of saying he would not participate in the planning of a long-awaited Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown on the same date as Cotto-Alvarez.
“I’m not saying that,” said Arum. “I’m just saying that it’s poaching on a Mexican date and it’s disrespectful to the Mexican people. Period. I’ll make that stand.”
Mayweather made it clear with his announcement that he doesn’t plan to give up the Mexican holiday weekend, on which he has fought five times since 2007 — including each of the past three years.
“We’re trying to make that f!ght happen,” Mayweather said during an interview with analyst Steve Farhood as part of the network’s broadcast from San Antonio.
“… The fans would love to see the f!ght, and, of course, I want to go out with a bang. So let’s make this f!ght happen.”
Meanwhile, De La Hoya announced that Alvarez has agreed to terms for a May 2 f!ght against Cotto on HBO Pay-Per-View.

Floyd confirmed himself during the interview that Pacquiao is begging for the same money he (Team Pacquiao) was asking for before suffering his losses. Sounds like he's still asking for more than $40 million (Showtime has come out and said that, that offer was REJECTED) It's better to hear it from the horses mouth than the horses ass. So we do know what's going on. When you're fighting the best you can't come to the table and set an asking price. Take the offer that Floyd and Showtime is giving you and then fight.

Yeah, playing the race card... trying to get them to turn on Floyd when he fights in May and September every year. He fought Oscar, Shane, Cotto, Guerrero, and Miadana all in May. It's nothing new. He tried to fight Pacquiao back in 2012 on May 5th but Arum said it was "impossible".... remember when Floyd said "step up punk?" We didn't hear a word from Pacquiao....

True, but what else was he supposed to do? He is telling the man "I will give you SOMETHING" so you can step aside and let us make this FIGHT. What else did Floyd need to offer this man? The more shit they say, the more we see who holds the majority of the blame. Was Floyd being unreasonable in some of his demands? We'll think about it this way...if Floyd decisively whips Pac's ass May 2nd 2015---> Pac vs ? In November 2015 is a lame duck fight and so is Pac's two remaining fights in 2016. Pac's numbers will plummet so fast he will be doing 75K-100K PPV BUYS which is probably not profitable at that point...and even the Chinese Casinos aren't going to keep supporting $20 million dollar purses to Manny. Both Arum and Manny know this full well. So they either get a preposterous 1st fight split with Floyd 50/50 on everything (won't be a 2nd fight)...or continue fighting 140 fighters who are coming up from 126 all the while yelling Floyd is a coward.
