Pacquiao needs to tell Bob Arum that's he's fighting vs Floyd on May 2nd. Tired of hearing Manny say over and over, "It's up to him", well he set a date. Manny keeps going to twitter trash talking. Talk that chit on All Access after you sign to fight. Manny stay sellin' wolf tickets.

How in the world would you know if he's not telling bob arum to make the fight?

What I've said pages ago still holds true today - we know nothing about the on-going negotiations and talk. There literally is nothing for us confirmed by anyone. The only thing we know is that there are talks of some sort.

I don't know even know the context of the quote. That's why I hate those Chris Williams articles it's just a small quote or two filled with his opinion. I'd have to see the interview in it's entirety to really understand the context (maybe he was asked specifically about Canelo demanding he fights on May 2nd and Arum commentated his opinion regarding that date).
You can read it here or follow the link...the article Chris wrote and quoted wasn't as extensive as this one--->

Arum, who promotes Pacquiao and has been working with Cotto in negotiations with Alvarez, said Alvarez is more entitled to the date because of his Mexican heritage.

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya, who promotes Alvarez and has had a working relationship with Mayweather, agrees with that sentiment.

“Let me tell you something, and this, I really feel very, very strongly about,” Arum said. “That weekend celebrates Cinco De Mayo, which is a Mexican Holiday, which commemorates the outstanding, courageous stand of a lot of Mexican civilians who turned back the French Imperial army, and it’s a significant holiday in Mexico and among Mexican Americans who live in the United States. That being said, neither Mr. Mayweather, nor Mr. Pacquiao, nor Mr. Cotto, who is Hispanic, but not Mexican.

“The only Mexican in the group is Canelo Alvarez, who is a big attraction among the Mexican people. And to poach on that date, which is a Mexican holiday by non-Mexicans, shows a terrible disrespect for the Mexican people, both those living in Mexico and those living in the United States. And anybody who does the poaching ought to be ashamed of themselves. That goes for hotels and that goes for f!ghters and that goes for any of us. I’m willing to make that statement.”

Said De La Hoya: “Bob has promoted boxing for more than 50 years and understands the importance of the Mexican and Mexican-American fan. Canelo wants to take back the tradition and f!ght on Cinco De Mayo for his fans all over the world.”

Arum stopped short of saying he would not participate in the planning of a long-awaited Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown on the same date as Cotto-Alvarez.

“I’m not saying that,” said Arum. “I’m just saying that it’s poaching on a Mexican date and it’s disrespectful to the Mexican people. Period. I’ll make that stand.”

Mayweather made it clear with his announcement that he doesn’t plan to give up the Mexican holiday weekend, on which he has fought five times since 2007 — including each of the past three years.

“We’re trying to make that f!ght happen,” Mayweather said during an interview with analyst Steve Farhood as part of the network’s broadcast from San Antonio.

“… The fans would love to see the f!ght, and, of course, I want to go out with a bang. So let’s make this f!ght happen.”

Meanwhile, De La Hoya announced that Alvarez has agreed to terms for a May 2 f!ght against Cotto on HBO Pay-Per-View.

Bravo man, this is what you should have linked in the first place. Now I can side with HERESY - bob shouldn't be talking about May 2nd for any reason when Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations are on-going.

Floyd confirmed himself during the interview that Pacquiao is begging for the same money he (Team Pacquiao) was asking for before suffering his losses. Sounds like he's still asking for more than $40 million (Showtime has come out and said that, that offer was REJECTED) It's better to hear it from the horses mouth than the horses ass. So we do know what's going on. When you're fighting the best you can't come to the table and set an asking price. Take the offer that Floyd and Showtime is giving you and then fight.

Floyd let the fans know that he's ready on May 2nd. He doesn't care if Canelo and Cotto are fighting on that day because he beat them both. It's not about the PPV numbers with Floyd anymore, he wants to fight Pacquiao on May 2nd, cut the crap. It's almost time to start training for his next fight.

Pacquiao is playing with the fans minds.... telling them one thing (whatever he wants) but doing another (whatever I want).

Ya'll see this shit? Nigga you NEVER said anything about Floyd fighting on those dates when it was a non mexican but now that it's Pac, the person you have been pimpin since day 1, all of a sudden the date Floyd has been fighting on FOR YEARS is an issue? It's not like Floyd just started fighting on or around these holidays his last two fights. He did it when he beat Oscar, wtf is up with these people?

Man I'm trying to remain as neutral as one can be but this shit is getting out of hand. Bob Arum and Manny's camp are on some other shit. So now the date is the fuckin issue? Serious? So why throw this man under the fuckin bus and then turn around and say the fight won't move, only for Mayweather and Pac? Was any other fight being made? Was anyone else saying that?

But it would be sick if they all put their resources together, put their ego's aside, were able to work out the $$$ and had a megafight card that had Pac and Floyd as main event, Canelo and Cotto as co-main event and 5 more GOOD fights. Keep dreamin....

Yeah, playing the race card... trying to get them to turn on Floyd when he fights in May and September every year. He fought Oscar, Shane, Cotto, Guerrero, and Miadana all in May. It's nothing new. He tried to fight Pacquiao back in 2012 on May 5th but Arum said it was "impossible".... remember when Floyd said "step up punk?" We didn't hear a word from Pacquiao....

That would be sick Heresy, that's not a bad idea.... not sure if that would work with Floyd though since he wants it on Showtime. But then again, they could do a Co promotion. Floyd should agree to that if they tried to make it happen.

That's a pretty damn absurd offer though man. No promoter, who would be co-promoting the biggest fight in boxing history, would step aside for $10 million, especially one of the biggest promoters in boxing in Top Rank.
True, but what else was he supposed to do? He is telling the man "I will give you SOMETHING" so you can step aside and let us make this FIGHT. What else did Floyd need to offer this man? The more shit they say, the more we see who holds the majority of the blame. Was Floyd being unreasonable in some of his demands? Yes, Floyd being unreasonable with $40 million and a cut of ppv (or no ppv), sho only when all Manny has to do is fight ANYONE, two times, and he'll have that $40? Yes, but first it's blood. Then it's a $10 million weight penalty per pound that Floyd AGREED to, then it's this and then that. Stop coming up with BULLSHIT.

Listen, the ONLY time you don't fight a person is when they say they don't have an issue with you or don't want to fight. But Pac and Arum STAY saying shit about Floyd, Oscar stay saying shit about Floyd and for what?

Manny, bob, oscar and whoever, if you don't make the fight keep Floyd's name out of your mouth and move down to 140. Just stop talkin on this man and doing this shit just to build up your own cards and fighters. Let your guys fists do the talking. Sit at the table and get the damn thing done or let it all fall apart and go head to head with your own cards that weekend and let's see what happens.

I gotta side with Floyd on the date thing. With the exception of ONE fight since his Oscar fight, he always fought on or around those holidays. One fight YEARS ago and that was against Hatton. Why the fuck was May 5th 2012 impossible?

And people are saying Haymon is bad for boxing?

All this Canelo/ Cotto shit is doing is confusing Pacquaio fans who "HATE ON MAYWEATHER AT ALL COST"...you defend Arums stupidity...then you in effect go against Pacquaio who is trying to fight Mayweather on May 2nd (Manny DUCKED THE FIGHT AGAIN via Bob Arum)...or you side with Mayweather (which you would rather die first) and let Pacquaio finally get embarrassed (finally get rid of this poser). So...your either with Floyd and Manny or against Arum, De LaHoya, and Canelo (for trying to block the fight) to hurt Floyd. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
Tell Arum I still stand by this statement lol!

We'll think about it this way...if Floyd decisively whips Pac's ass May 2nd 2015---> Pac vs ? In November 2015 is a lame duck fight and so is Pac's two remaining fights in 2016. Pac's numbers will plummet so fast he will be doing 75K-100K PPV BUYS which is probably not profitable at that point...and even the Chinese Casinos aren't going to keep supporting $20 million dollar purses to Manny. Both Arum and Manny know this full well. So they either get a preposterous 1st fight split with Floyd 50/50 on everything (won't be a 2nd fight)...or continue fighting 140 fighters who are coming up from 126 all the while yelling Floyd is a coward.

They dont want it or atleast Arum dont want it and Manny is to much of a puppet to make him do otherwise. May will probably end up fighting Khan while Manny will fight Salko lol. Got Em!!

Well, I went neutral when Tony opened up my eyes because I thought it was all Floyds fault at first. But this muthafucka said they couldn't make the fight because of a cut? Then he said because a STADIUM had to be built? That is a first in boxing HISTORY. Why the fuck do you need to build a stadium????? And then you give a date when you KNOW he will be locked up??????? SMH.

You know what? Give Manny $40 and no PPV. Give him that as PUNISHMENT for STAYING with TR when he could have left, been his own boss or signed with TMT to promote the fight. Fuck it. Better to be with Floyd like that then to suffer under Arum.

Wow...

SMH...this really did happen?
Yup, I'll cut and paste for you...

Floyd Mayweather Jr. calls out Manny Pacquiao for May 5 fight - ESPN

Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see," read Mayweather's first tweet.

One minute later, Mayweather followed with this: "My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up Punk."

Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank's Bob Arum, told The Los Angeles Times that Pacquiao will fight Mayweather, but not on May 5.

"June 9 is perfect," Arum told The Times from The Philippines where he is meeting with Pacquiao to talk about his next opponent. "May 5 is out, that's impossible."

When Mayweather was supposed to go to jail last week, Arum talked about Pacquiao fighting on May 5 to take the spot of Mayweather.

The next day, when Mayweather's sentence was delayed, Arum said Pacquiao would probably have to fight in June, blaming that on a cut Pacquiao suffered in his November majority decision win against Juan Manuel Marquez as the reason -- even though a cut taking more than six months to heal is unheard of.

Arum's list of possible opponents for Pacquiao did not include Mayweather. Rather, it includes a rematch with junior middleweight titlist Miguel Cotto, whom Pacquiao stopped in the 12th round of a 2009 welterweight title bout; Marquez, for a fourth time; or a fight with junior welterweight titleholders Lamont Peterson or Timothy Bradley Jr.

After Mayweather's sentence was delayed, Arum said he was not interested in talking to Pacquiao about fighting Mayweather in May.

"We're fighting in June, one of the four guys," Arum told ESPN.com last week. "My mission is to go over to the Philippines and talk about these four guys. If Manny feels he wants to go in May, he will tell me. I want to make sure Manny's cuts are healed. We won't fall under this kind of pressure. June is much more likely for Manny's fight, not May."

That's what Floyd has been saying all along bro. He doesn't deserve 60/40 because he keeps screwing around. Now he'a asking for the same money he's always been asking for...
