It's always sad to hear shit like this. If 4tay is really in the tenderloin on dope I feel bad for dude.
Maybe his daughter was out there lookin for her dad? Trying to save the guy from that life.
I hope dude bounces back when he gets this 100k. This is the perfect chance for him to change his life.

Props: Mr G and Mr G

Rappin 4 Tay can still come out to Monterey and Santa Cruz counties, and charge these self proclaimed rappers for verses, and theyll pay him, cuz theyre gameless and think hes famous. Have these fools calling each other, going half on a verse and shit.
You probably don't understand that his song Playaz club did hit billboard and it's known worldwide. So yes he is famous even if he ain't doing so great today.

Rappers generally only pay homage to the most iconic songs in hip hop... Rakim's "I take 7 emcees, put em in a line" has been probably been used in 50-100 songs, underground, independent and mainstream, from rappers like E-40 to Spice 1 to Esham to Slug to Jay Electronica to Nas... I've never heard Rakim complaining.

Arguably the biggest rapper in the world right now paid homage to Playaz Club in a guest verse... No, he didn't just straight up steal it because he couldn't think of anything better. I don't like Drake's music at all but let's be real, it was probably harder to take the time to write that verse paying homage to Playaz Club than it would have been to write a quick verse for a guest appearance on a YG song.

At the end of the day when that $100K is long gone, rather than being remembered outside the Bay Area as the dude that made Playaz Club 4 Tay will be remembered as the dude whining about stolen lyrics.

The hustler mentality in the Bay Area makes the music a joke at the end of the day.

Remember when Herm's Trying to Survive in the Ghetto and Master P's West Coast Bad Boyz came out? Compilations were good for like a year after that until people realized they could produce them cheap to make a quick buck... Suddenly instead of everyone putting their best song on a compilation, they'd use a throwaway that didn't make the cut on their own album and out of the countless compilations released every year, maybe 1 or 2 would actually be worth listening to.

Same with guest appearances... Collaborations between Bay Area rappers were dope before you heard the same rappers on every single song... Don't get me started on when it got to the point where there was no quality control whatsoever and anybody just sold a verse to any garbage ass rapper.

When it's all said and done Bay Area hip hop will be remembered most for the people involved fucking up anything good they ever had to make a quick buck.

Maybe KRS will catch wind of this and ask 4 Tay for that 100K for using his line from Jimmy on She's a Sell Out.

Everyone stealing from the bay.

everyone need to quit sayin that shit. it honestly sounds like baby talk.

you do know the late great Mac Dre, bay area icon, jacked MJG's flow for "Talk Big Shit" right? and though only 1 bar, Mac Dre's "P39 Ruger on my person" is obviously inspired by MCA (Beastie Boys).

if a rapper from another region took those inspirations from a bay area artist, ya'll would be crying rivers.

"...OG niggas turn into alcaholics/ what you think about it foo/ nigga I can't call it..." Dre Dog
Sad but applicable. Its a shame when the hustle can't elevate you out of the position of needin a hustle. Yes, rappin is a hustle b/c most these cats aren't musicians by passion. That's exactly why E-40 is a shining example of how to do it.

Then again addiction is a big variable in that equation...

I've heard conflicting things about whether or not 4tay is sober. @Gas One , you said your story was 6 years ago right? that's a long time for a dude to get his act together. But either way, hopefully he's got his mind right cause 100k could kill a dude if any of the rumors I been hearing about him are even remotely true.
lol my story being 6 years ago. you trippin bro. fuck would i be talking about a story from 6 years ago. go read that shit again

and i didnt wanna get into a 'whos open air drug market is bigger' argument..that shits for the birds. the TL's spot is well known due to the media blowing it up. vice, drugs inc, etc etc, im likt but maaany other places have wrote about the tl's in great detail. you gotta think about the fact that SF is a huge tourist city, not just for californians but in general. and any dopehead who comes there knows where to go off top.

take a cali nigga out his element into another city to find the same and its not gonna be as easy. id say the TL's is probably the easiest and the most open there is. like dave chappele says "ive never seen peopel smoke crack so openly"

and skid row is a completely different type of animal. that shit is alot more than a open air drug market. people live in skid row. its not just a street,or a open air drug market, its an area. and id say its a little worse than the TL's as far as open air. sure you can find what you need there but its not as organized. theres a whole lot going on in skid row.

Now I know where to go when I'm in sf and I need some cocaine :)

But na on a serious note, tenderloin is a "no fucks given " type of area. Ppl smoke and sell drugs in broad day in public with people watching. Pimps drop off hoes like it's nothin. Crack heads be fighting in front of lost tourists. It's a comedy show out there.

There is a video on YouTube that was posted on May 30th of this year & 4-Tay doesn't look like he's doing good. And again, it's seriously sad to see him down & out like that.

Back in 2000 / 2002 I got at 4-Tay when he was on Celeb Entertainment & was going to feature him on my album "Casualties of Life." Which featured Yuk, Young Droop, Dutch, PlayaRae, Mr. Kee etc.

I had talked to a person at Celeb Ent. and soon after they went under & I lost contact, but had it went through I would of got him.

Off topic, another 2 artist I was looking to get / and actually connected with, but we never got into the studio were C-Bo & Killa Tay.

Yeah, yeah cool story.

4-Tay! Get your money, but get yourself together & feet back on the ground!
