on the big von show on weds 10/11, the guest were the grouch and zion i and their new collab album Heroes of The Dope City. i wouldve never thought id ever hear grouch nor zion i being hosted by commercial radio stations like KMEL cause those dudes usually stay underground. both grouch and i been in the game for 5+ years in the ug hiphop scene. it seems like now theyre finally trying to step it up to a more commercial level of audience and advertisement to help support bay music since "Its About That Time". tell you what though, im fucking glad cause when it comes to hiphop, Grouch and Zion I is that team. not only does this stray from the hyphy music, it also brings another dish to the table thats been apart of bay music forever but not many radio listeners has recognized. they played a few of their tracks from the album on the show. it would be nice to hear these guys on the daily rotation.
