whats the significance difference? when im lookin in the view finder i seen tiny specs. scattered, like i see a peice of hair and 3 spots that look like tiny scratches...i hope that doesnt get on the actual footage...ummm its firewire..unless they make usb firewire converters ima have to cop a new computer which is what i was gon do anyway. im gettin a music xpc..and i have adope premier so ima try my own shot at this shit....but the next 6months ima just be fuckin round wit the settings til i actully get way better.anything is possible

u can clean the viewfinder under the viewfinder theres a slide button thatll take it off, thats just all dust in there. the vx2k uses had ccds, thats why its better at night but also why in daytime the sky is more blown out then the vx1k, the 2k is ALOT sharper, the 2k has a flip out wich is great for show filming dont use it for anything else though, the vk1 doesnt have a zoom ring either. the main thing is that the vx2k has 2 lux and the vx1k has 7
^ya but watch when you upgrade to a camera with a lower lux you will be amazed at the difference i went from using a 100watt to using a 20 watt and it being to bright hah, that had ccds are a new type of ccds sony used thats more sensitive to light thats why the vx2k/2100 and pds have better lowlight cause there made with those but the vx1k was discontinuted in i think 97 or 99, before they made the had ccds
