I was talking to my friend today at the studio drinking a 20 oz. sprite chillin', peeped under the top and got my usual internet code for their website. Then I got to thinking back to when I was a kid, racing through my soda to see if I won at the bottom of the can. Shit was dotted looking at the bottom of cans back in the day and some were winners, non-winners just had a number like 22. Every once and a while you'd get a "free pop" or "free t-shirt" "free twelve pack" looking all blue and brail at the bottom of the can. I used to always go around at family functions and check everyone's can when I was young, clear pop that is. You had to wait for the rotten bastards to finish it if it was a Coke or Pepsi. Shit, the good old days.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the soda i always tried to win at was the 20 oz. pepsi's, the ones in the plastic bottle. the twistoff cap would say if u were a winner or not. when i was in 6th and 7th grade, id stand in line, and be like "nah, dont want that one, lemme see the next one" as i looked under through the side of the bottle to see the underside of the cap. used to get free sodas all the time, occassionally would get a $20 or $100 cap. id then sell that shit for bomb. that was how i used to get my sacks.
