Xbox 360 Power cord help

OK. So my friend's roommate got an Xbox off cragislist but it didn't come with A/V cables or a Power cable... His room mate moved out and left it there, now my buddy is trying to figure it out.... and my power cord from a 08 elite won't work with his...

so basically I'm looking for a power cord that will work with his... his xbox360 was made in 2006. I don't know if there was a different power hook up on the back of the xbox from 3 years ago. or if this is just some over seas 360 that takes a completely different power cord.

any help would be appreciated!

xbox 360 came out in 2006.

i got a xbox 360 the day it came out. it RROD on me so i sent in just hte console and whatnot and they sent me back an extra power brick with the outlet cord and HD cables. I then went on ebay and sold the power supply unit/cord and HD cables for like $90 bucks. search ebay or craigslist for xbox 360 power supply

See what you need to do is go down to the beach and get you some sand. Rub the sand on the power cord and pour some more sand into the bit where the power cord is supposed to go in the XBOX. Now pour a little bit of sand into the fan as well. The power cord should now fit the XBOX without any problems.
