whats the deal with artists recycling songs. I looked at the Teams playlist and I already heard half of the album either from the radio or off mix-tapes, I heard Super Hyphy on at least 3 different Keak albums, And frontline put out the same album damn near. Is it just me or are a lot of artists trying to pull a fast one on us? Tell me how u guys on siccness fell about the situation?

It's normal that you heard some of the songs on the album from the radio, it's called a "single". That's promoting the album by playing some songs that are on it to give you a taste.
Mixtapes is the same thing. It's promotion, they giving you a taste of what that rapper can do. Anyway I don't fuck with mixtapes or radio so it don't bother me.
Keak gets to recycling cause some of his albums are semi-official. He sells some songs to bullshit labels and they make a half-ass album with it. Frontline put out the same album twice cause one was supposed to be the nationwide release. Ludacriss did the same shit with his first album.

I don't understand why anyone would say something that was on the radio was recycled....the radio is there for promotion, for artists to put their songs out so people will want to buy the album, just like meandme said...the team just waited too long to put their album out plain and simple, so they had to drop another single and another single and another...just so their buzz would still be out and people would want to still cop it....it kinda backfired for them tho....as far as keak goes, its all been shit that he sold other labels & whatnot...just bad business on his part.

Its how the indie game works player, drop the first shit, get some $$$ to make a better album that gets more exposure, and drop it, and if ya reuse some of the hits, why not? the new audience will be greatful for it.

its simple.. why else would an artist put an older song on their new cd.. cause its a hit.. and they probably haven't done anything new.. thats better/hotter?

how do I feel about it.. I think its definately unfair to the unknowing consumer waiting for that new release that has a whole 2 new songs on the cd? but thats how the game is. u don't have to pick it up? on the other hand.. for the new fans, that didn't hear it the first time around, might love it. and could careless if the songs where on a cd prior to the one he bought?

for the artist.. Im sure their all for it.. most of the time.. cause thats less work for them to do.. just add those hits from my last cd.. and add these new cuts.. and lets press up some new cds.. get mo skrill.. ??

there is two ways to do it. if you putout an album and then comeback with a bigger budget and distributionthen take your top 3 tracks off the old one and give them at least ten new cuts and no one complains. but some dudes will add two new songs, get a more dramatic cover and title and slang that like it's new and that's where fans feel burned
