Why do Kriss and Kutt work jobs?

Why does Kriss Kalico and Kutt work at Satin Doll? I'm not hating on them because I love their music and they are very talented but I keep hearing they doing big things and it just doesnt make sense. Kutt works as a bouncer and Kriss a MC slash bouncer. I hope they blow up and get out of there.

I guess when your record label doesn't promote your album and push singles at radio, you have to work doing something else... but if ya do have to work to have enough to live on, then why not Satin Dolls? lol

Strange Music purchased a 2004 Excursion and had it wrapped with Kutt's album cover. Also had Skatterman's Excursion wrapped for SS. A lot of money has been spent on promotion with everything from print adds, radio adds, to posters, 7x7 & 12x12 fliers, a crazy amount of POP placed in stores, Block Party was pushed on the radio, oh and put them on a 46 city tour with Tech N9ne. Everready was also pushed back so they could release Kutt and SS's albums.

So don't say Kutt and SS HAVEN'T been promoted.

Well if used as a selling point, you have the consumers coming to you in situations like pulling into the mall marking lot and tryin' to get off C.D.s. Instead of chasing down crowds of people walking in looking like you're gonna snatch a purse when you're jus tryin' to peddle your product. I've seen them in the Bay and they using em like mobile record stores, passin' out merchandise, sellin' C.D.s, filmin' for the DVD, shit they jus bring the people to you where as before you was chasin em down. In my opinion if used right it is the most beneficial thing an independent artist can do is be seen ridin' around in these wrapped vehicles gettin' off his product and inter-acting with his fans...

I would've figured you would've known all this tho Law...lol

Why not get paid to be where there at 24/7...drink free...and the bitches ain't that tight...so we can exclude that...ha!!!!

As far as promotion...and the wraps...I believe that S&S paid to have theier own wrapped...they may have has SOME promotion...but not enough in my eyes....BY FAR...NOT ENOUGH...

i feel the same way about kutt. i'm not a fan of SS style, or the album for that matter, but i believe kutt can do big things. he SHOULD be doing big things.

can't expect anyone to shine. tech is in the limelight with everyone else in the background. don't get me wrong, without tech they probably wouldn't be getting exposure, but if it were me that owned the label, i would promote the hell out of ALL artists to make sure i got something out of the investment.

Lol yea true that...But Kutt has to build up the same level of following that Tech has before he jus jumps in the Captain Seat. Until that happens look for Tech to Frontlining the roster like always.

remember the murfmobile in waynes world? they should have done that, but with kutt and SS. now i would go to a car like that and buy a cd.
