Why does everyone hate on spice 1 in particular among the rappers that fell off. Shyt the whole bay fell of the map for like 10 years. If you listen to his albums like Spiceberg Slim.....he still comes tight. Dat song about "u niggaz lucky dat i'm rappin cuz if it wasn't for dis rappin i'd be jackin" is a classic." He got like 5 cuts on dat album that are off da chainz. U all trippin. Yes his old shit was better, but damn.....most rappers old shit is better . I can name like 10 rappers off the top of my head that done fell off but for some reason everyone likes to pick on Spice 1 when he ain't even fallen off like some of dese other cats...

rappin 4 tay
RBL posse
Celly Cel
Dru Down
Richie Rich
C-Bo
Brotha Lynch
Mac Mall

I could name alot more but i'm just tryin to make a point. Da Bay and most of da pioneers fell off.....so don't single out spice 1 cuz in all honesty he still makin better music than the above rappers.

Gone...

all those guys and spice 1 fell off.

Bo is still tight though and Mac Mall still cuts a tight verse every now and then and Double R will always come through on a remix and make it tight.

If everyones old stuff is better than these guys need to just leave the mic alone and use the cash they made in their prime to bring some fresh blood up because thats what the bay needs. We don't need a bunch of dinosaur rappers from the early 90s trying to take these youngsters shine

It might just be because the fall is a lot harder when you consider the heights that he fell from. Those other guys are all bay legends no doubt, but Spice 1 is in a very elite category of rappers who PUT GANGSTA MUSIC ON THE MAP ON A NATIONAL LEVEL. It's a very small list:

Ice Cube
Scarface
Spice 1

of course, Ice T & Eazy were instrumental in this too, they got the ball rolling that allowed the above to prosper.
