I thought this was pretty interesting. As we already know alot of the Gun-Ho war ready Republicans never served their country. Some of the reasons they didn't serve are pretty funny (atleast to me they were.)

I like how right wing radio host Rush Limbaugh didn't serve because he recieved a 4-F with a 'pilonidal cyst.' Which is more or less means he had a tail...don't belive me than look it up lol.

I know this is a pro-left/Democrat site but it has links to various sources on alot of the people.

I checked the site out after hearing about it on the Howard Stern Show on my way to school this morning.

Democratic and Republican leaders, yet, they left out the #1 men of the Democratic and Republican party, as well as almost ALL of Clinton's cabinet? Gee, I wonder why?

Howard Dean -- Did not serve in Nam. Eligible, but Deferred.
Ken Mehlman -- Not old enough for Nam. Born in 1967.

Dick Morris (Clinton's 'Rove'): Didn't serve.
Sidney Blumenthal (Rove II, 97-2000): Didn't serve.
Warren Christopher (Sec of State): Didn't serve. Busy being a lawyer.
Madeleine Albright (Sec of State #2): Has dick; still didn't serve.
Les Aspin (Sec of Defense #1): Served in Army...in Pentagon. Didn't go to war.
William Perry (Sec of Defense #2): Didn't serve...busy running his corporation.
William Cohen (Sec of Defense #3): Didn't serve...career politician.
Janet Reno (Attorney General): See Albright.

Shit is not starting to look good right now. But lets keep going.

Jesse Brown (Sec of Veterans Affairs): Served.
Togo D. West, Jr. (Sec of Vet Affairs #2): Served.
Herschel Gober (Sec of Vet Affairs #3): Served.

So THERE!!! At least all 3 of the Secretaries for veteran's affairs were veterans....Lmao.

When you do a run-down, damn near not a one of Clinton's whole cabinet served. I didn't list the rest (Urban Development, Health, etc.), but trust me...very lacking.

We already know that most Senators and Representatives are chickenhawks, but shit, the MAIN PEOPLE Clinton was surrounding himself with never stepped FOOT on a battlefield? That shit is just plain scary.

I like Tom Delay's response - "So many minority youths had volunteered ... that there was literally no room for patriotic folks like himself."

These guys involved with the government are usually ex lawyers, big businessmen or both who make a hell of alot more money than your average military man. If I was pulling the kind of cash they do I wouldn't have joined the military either. Most the guys in government that were in the military are retired Generals, Admirals etc and were very much involved with high ranking government officials to begin with so the transition is pretty seamless.

These guys are all pro war because they are using the miitary to help them succeed in their own private interests in the regions we are currently occupying, thats how I see it.
