Tupac no doubt, Mac Dre didn't put the West on the Map. Even with his Hyphy movement, if the Bay Gets recognition you still gotta give it to Pac and Too Short.

Why Because Pac was into Politics b4 he started becoming a Blood? He Was Smarter and lead other people into big shit, and hard core Politics. Mac Dre=Popping Pills and Going Dumb. Pac not only put the West on the Map, but he not only influenced the West, HE INFLUENCED THE US AND COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE US. That's why many schools have what they call today "Tupac Philosophy"

Mac Dre Influenced the Bay, parts of the Valley, Kansas City, and probably some So Cal cities. But Pac Influenced more than a couple of Cities, he influenced A COUNTRY!

u do got a point but pac waz never politcal when he waz growing he didnt get dat way until he got lockd up we can sit here n dizcuz diz all day n not get no where with it but thiz thread iznt about who waz da mozt influential rapper itz street cred n pac didnt have it untill he startd doing da thug life which waz a short carrier but rip 2 both of them

I think Tupac Shakur has more street credit because he was well known all over the world more than Mac Dre. Don't get me wrong. Mac Dre is well known too. But Tupac Shakur touched all boundaries. Mac Dre was about to reach his very peak but then he got shot. They are brothers of the same struggle yadadada!

Pistol-Cee, you're right that we won't go anywhere. But No Doubt Mac Dre had more street cred in the Bay, probably, but everywhere Pac Went he received nothing but respect. Nortenos, Tramps, and Bloods and even Crips before he got involved with the MOB.

You must not know about the REAL Mac Dre then. I'm talking about the Romper Room Gang, professional store/bank robbin ass, prison to prison ass, crest side Dre. Having street cred. differs from influencing the world with poetry and raps. Put it this way, Pac was in Baltimore in a private school doing balet at 17 which is around the time that people consider "growing up". He became a gangsta in his early 20's because he had no choice, either be a wolf or a sheep, right? It's that Cali shit that influenced him. He did have street cred. but it wasn't your natural authentic street cred. that someone like Dre had.

thats real az fuck,i love pac but pac wuz a turf hopper,he wuz more political then anythang a voice of tha streets ware niggaz from different hoodz could have him be there spokesmen,pac lived everywhere but he kiled me wit that to live and die in la.ive herd about mac dre on sum street shit,i actually had tha pleasure of meetin him a while back b4 he had passed,ill tel u one thing,wut he said about scraps and nortenos i guarrenty pac wulda never said tha shit dat mac told me and my homeboyz.
