where is bay area rap ranked in america?

florida, new york, boston, houston, atl, LA, bay, etc.

since im from the bay, i know about the music out here other regions probably never heard of such as quinn, hus, jacka, stalin, bailey, mess.. the list goes on. but, seriously, i rather listen to the dudes i just listed over a paul wall, mike jones, fat joe, jim jones, etc. but at the same time, these dudes are known worldwide? is the bay really just underrated as fuck or is it just a local rap supporters state of mind?

ive seen the bay network alot in the south and some in new york such as fab and ya boy,

i know some of houston must know Messy because of those collabs he did with Lil Flip back a couple years ago.. and he fucks with alot of artists.. like redman too
