I was going thru a board on another site! And ran across this question from some cat! I thought I'd get your opinions on this subject!

(question from god's son over at cpixel.com)
Eyo it seems that everybody can't stop talking shit about this and that being "commercial" ...for all these people who think they know EVERYTHING about hip hop ...define what you think is "commercial" ...is it getting air play at the top radio stations, or is it music that the majority of people in the country like? or is it even making more money and having a bigger deal than these other cats? Tell me, I'd like to know.

I'm interested in hearing your replys on this one!

its when your getting airplay

on the top radio stations across the country because that already means that the majority of people are loving you in that area.

its when you become international that you become "commercial" cause everyone know you. if you local and dont get big then i'd consider you an artist that is still underground.

commerical in my opinion is a poppy sound, genereally liked by 13 and 14 year olds. Underground is the shit you want to hear on the radio but is too gangster, and too eriee. the lyrics are mudererous, just like we as a human socitey love.

Think back to the times of the Roman empire, and how they had the colosessum. We as a society like barbaric behavior; it just doesn't belong on the radio because activisits would have a fit!
