Just like a mic doesn't make a rapper great, a camera won't do the same for the photographer. Takes a developed eye, look at Tragik and Colombos work pre higher end equipment and you would see the skills were still their. Once you get up their though, you would probably start fucking with more technical equipment to perfect shots.

Knowledge of composition and LIGHTING for me

knowledge of what youre doing

whether it's knowing your equipment, camera, lights, etc, know how to use them thoroghly, there strengths and weaknesses

also knowledge of the type of photography you're doing, people or objects, if it's in a studio or inside in general, lighting, angles, if outside, lighting, time of day, shadows and light

creativity with the shots, don't just do snapshot photography, get an idea of what the client or you want, and take it a step further

post photo process, editing, color, sharpness, knowledge of how to improve a picture and give it that rich full look but not over do it
