Im listening to this Genie of the Lamp and just got to the "Feed My Bitch" track and remebered Dre rapped on the "I Need An Eighth" which was the same beat slightly different. Both songs are dope but I was wonderin what you think about artists flippen the same beat 2wice. $hort has done that a few times aswell as 4tay....

I think that is tight...If you hear a beat that is sick, maybe you, as an artist, can come up with multiple concepts, if more than one is a hit, go with it. Plus I like it when I hear the same beat, and I think it's gonna be recycled, and then it turns out to be a diff. song.

"I need an eighth" was done by K-Lou, I think, and "I Feed My Bitch" was done by Sean T.....both of them are hot ass songs!

Since both tracks are remaking an older song, it depends on what the musicians bring new to the track. You can change the direction of a song entirely by changing a few melodic instruments around, but keeping the same bass, chords, and drums. Both of those Mac Dre tracks are hot. So to me, I get a nostalgic feel when listeing to his new track because it reminds me of the old Mac Dre, but at the same time, you see that he's changed and made something new.
