ok.....on the bac of my MAC i have 2 connections...
1 is deffly 4 speakers or sound out 2 headphones
(which is the 1 @ the very top)......
but i have question as 2 what the connection underneath it is?
sum1 told me its a digital in line......and i can feed my DVD player....
and more importantly i can hook up a digital mixer 2 it?
im askin cuz theres this guy that gave me that answer.....
but seemed like he wasnt 2 sure??
(he acted like he did,
but it seemed like he was 1 of those people
2 tell u hed seen a movie u were talkin bout
but hasnt really seen it :cheeky: )
with the G4s, APPLE took out ur normal sound card connections....
and im gonna be gettin me a mixer,
preamp and good mic n the coming months,
i juss wanna know what i have 2 have 2
get up & running 1ce monetary funds arent a problem....

Do yourself a favor and spend a few benji's on a decent soundcard.....you'll thank me later. I would suggest something from Echo Audio (I have a Layla)...... Mia or Gina will work for you just fine. Just depends on what your needs are.

i took hella different pix last night (sleepy as hell @ that)
and that was the best 1 i could conjure.....
was goin thru the same thing again after i seen u posted....
then i figured 2 juss set my camera 2 1600x1200
instead of 640x480.....until i did that i couldnt get a crisp shot 4 nuthin....

my needs are gonna be 4 studio recording,
once i get all the proper materials & equipment n place

IF IT WAS OPTICAL INPUT OR OUTPUT IT WOULD USE A TOSlink CONNECTION.

Yes sir.....they work for MAC or PC.

Just trust me and get a decent sound card.....you can plug damn near anything you want into a decent card. If you have a SPDIF digital out on your mixer.....you can run it digitally into your *new* soundcard with NO PROBLEMS.
