Go to a shop that makes custom boxes. Get the speakers from them, and have them make a box to those speaker's specifications. I had a wack ass 12 inch speaker ($35) with a piece of shit box that sounded like shit. I then hooked it up with a custom box and it bumped a lot harder, but it got jacked last New Years. My insurance company replaced it with a JL Audio 12 ($120) and a pre-built box, and it just doesn't sound as tight. I can tell the actual speaker is probably bumping harder, but it's just not putting it's power into the air waves. I can't really explain it. I know if I get a custom box built it'll sound a lot tighter.

Do you already have a amp for the subs. Whatever you do dont get a shitty amp. Shitty power will make shitty sound. If I were you Id try to get a JL W3 15" sub. You can probably find that on ebay or local for cheap. It will definantly slump.

you quoted the dude and didnt even read what you quoted did you?
Read what he wrote then read what I wrote. He said he has a 4 channel amp. That doesnt mean he has a amp for the subs. One of my buddies pushes a 4 channel amp to his highs/tweets.

You should check out the Memphis subs, too. They come with a 3 yr 'over-the-counter' warranty. I had a twelve that cost me $90 brandnew in-the-box. Shit beat hella clean.

Kicker Solobarics were cool until they changed the shape. I liked when they were round instead of the shape it is now. I used to have a pair of round 12", but the coil in one of the speakers got too hot and blew. i just gave my other one to my cousin and bought a new pair. Memphis is a good brand too. i have a 1100 watt Memphis amp and that shit never heats up from pounding too hard. the only way it heats up is from the tempature in the car.
