its from this song i asked this question a while back and someone told me this would be a song off of ISMS but since isms is no more, maybe tech will leak it like he said he would?
It's also a "tribute" (I got yelled at for calling it a "bite") to the geto boys - "I started small time dope game, cocaine, selling rocks on the block I'm never broke mayne".
Not sure where it's originally from, but its the same sample that Sir Mix-A-Lot used for that god awful "Jump On It" song that was played at every teen night about 10 years ago.
The one Sugarhill rocked 25 years before Mix-A-Lot (who, by the way, is a CRIMINALLY underrated rapper...um, at least from 1992 and before. He can rock the fast flows...check Testarossa from his Mack Daddy album...anyway...)? The same one that COUNTLESS b-boys would break to in the mid 70's?
