I live in New Mexico and it sux being young (29 is not too young but i'm not old damnit) with not much to do but can't complain that there is not near as much traffic as in a larger city and there are no natural disasters to worry about except the rare tornado that rarely even touches down. The shopping sux here but theres always the internet. Best thing to do here is probably hit up the casinos or camping on the weekends in the surrounding small towns.

I've pondered the thought of moving to Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Antonio or the outskirts of the bay thought about Portland but never been there

Any of you wanted to move or tried moving to other cities?

New Mexico is actually high on my places to move.

Right now it is #1 of the places that are actually reasonable
Cost of living is lower there, weather is better

I tolerate it here, but cold blizard like winters and hot humid summers sucks.

Where in NM do you live?

I live in Rio Rancho in the new downtown area (it's in the beginning stages more like desert now) and I work in Albuquerque....
From my limited research:

Rio Rancho has some nice houses, but I heard there is a decent trafic problem especially if you commute from Rio Rancho to Alb.

I was thinking about NE Alb, but the houses are older and if you want one like the homes in Rio Ranch you have to pay about 3 times as much.

all i gotta say is frisco.
if rents werent so high, traffic wasnt so bad, milk wasnt 3.50 in the store, gas wasnt damn near 5 dollars a gallon, half of the year the weather wasnt cloudy and windy, and there was absolutely no gay pride parade, id agree with this

but after a few years in frisco if i was to return to the bay...id live in oakland and commute to frisco when needed.

i did love the city tho i aint gonna lie...but its the total opposite of san diego and at some point i needed my beaches and sun back...

one thing thats great about sf is its impossible to be weedless.

man El Paso, TX is soooooo hot way different then Vallejo weather.

its been like 9 days straight of 105 temps, night-time lows is 90 degrees. So hot feel like your car air conditioner is barely working ( and i just charged it)

we close to NM, and that seems like the better choice, property tax is lower... thus your cost of living will be
