Sup guys, I'm just wondering what plugins, hardware or samples you guys like to use for your Synth Bass? I'm mainly wondering what you guys like to use for your more funky WestCoast type basslines. You know that deeper, slower attack type bassline, really bouncy, mainly sawtooth or Square waves. That "wow" and "buzz" type bass.

At the moment I'm pretty content with Novation V-Station, G-Force Minimonsta, AudioRealism Bassline & NWBass. All plugins. So what you guys like to use?

Nord Lead 3. More than I need, but it all starts sounding the same after a while!
Fantom , Motif have some good patches too
Nice, but yeah, that's the problem, it does all seem to sound the same after a while. Whatever, haha. It's WestCoast bass anyways, it tends to sound the same no matter, especially on Gangster Rap tracks. It can't sound too happy I suppose if it's G-Rap, must sound more low. I wish I had some better Bass Guitar sounds.

I used to use my jp8000 for synth bass and it was cool..much better then my motif wich bass patches were not great in my opinion.....anyways finally got my studio electronics ATC and all my bass and lead needs..i actually like it more then the moog voyager I had..although alot of sounds are very similar...each patch has a certain character thats real nice..and this is my probably best buy..no more having to tweak my jp8000 to only come up short...

I personally use the Arturia MiniMoog VST
I got that plugin too, I just prefer it more for Leads and Pads. I think Minimonsta is a bit better for bass, well atleast the presets are good and easy to build upon.

did you peep the KVR site yet???? they have patches for the v station i know that much....maybe for your other vsts....

Yeah I've peeped it before. That's about the only site I use for VST research, it's pretty much the best. I haven't used it to download presets that much though. Most of it is made for Trance stuff though.

VST plug Novation Bass-Station works pretty good for that. you can make nice funkysh leads to.
Yeah I got that shit too. I like V-Station a bit better though. My basses seem a lot more full sounding with V-Station. I also find it a bit more easy to program.
