What do I need for a proper home set up ?

I just want to do internet battles on rapmusic.com so I need a small set up at home because I don't want to use my big studio for it. What is a small cheap set up I could use ?

any soundcard/interface and a decent pre-amp (if it doesnt come with one) and a mic. tada.
pop filter would be a good idea too.
