What brushes do i use to cut the background out.

Im tryin to make a cover and i dont have a clue what brushes to use or what not. Can ne one help me? thanks

use the polygonal lasso tool or the pen tool to cut out the background homes..

magnetic lasso tool to select as much as possible.....then switch over to mask mode and use eraser to undo any selecting you didnt want and brush to select areas you missed.........then switch bacc to normal mode and copy/paste then you can turn baccground layer off......hope that makes sense i aint got time to make an actual tutorial right now.....
