I recently read a artical about VST link. and i am very interested in adding a second P.C to my set up to use as a effects rack using vst link but i diddent quite understand the artical. This is my current Set up:
Custom Built P4 3.0 ghz with R.A.I.D, two 80 gig hard drives,one 120 gig hard drive, 1 gig of ram and roland R-BUS pci card
Roland SI-24 Daw controler
Mackie 32.4 vlz pro mixer
I Run Cubase SX, Soundforge 7.0, Wave lab 4.0, Reason 2.5, Acid pro 4.0 and a bunch of plug ins from waves, antreas and others.
can anyone break down how to add a second computer to this set up using vst link? Do i need another SI-24 and R-BUS card?
