Nolan joins Eric Mangini of the New York Jets and Andy Reid of the Philadelphia Eagles as nominees for Motorola NFL Coach of the Week honors for games played December 14, 16-18.
Fans can vote on NFL.com for the head coach whose game plan played the greatest role in his team's victory. Voting will take place from Tuesday morning through noon EST on Thursday to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week. The winner will be announced Thursday afternoon on NFL.com. In January, voting will be held on NFL.com to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year.

* MIKE NOLAN helped keep his San Francisco 49ers' playoff hopes alive, directing his young team to a 24-14 victory over the NFC West-rival Seahawks in Seattle to improve to 6-8 and within 2 games of the Seahawks for the division title. Quarterback Alex Smith threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score, while running back Frank Gore ran for 144 yards and caught a 20-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. The 49ers' defense recorded two interceptions in the win.
* With his team battling for a playoff spot, ERIC MANGINI led the New York Jets into Minnesota and came away with a 26-13 victory to keep the Jets in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race. Behind 339 passing yards and one touchdown from quarterback Chad Pennington and wide receiver Laveranues Coles' 12 catches for 144 yards and one touchdown, the Jets improved to 8-6. The Eagles' defense forced three turnovers and scored on a 19-yard interception return by Trent Cole late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
