The "Midwest Flowmaster", Vell Bakardy keeps the Bay Area/Kanasas City independent music pipeline open by connecting with the "Northern Cali King of Slaps", Rick Rock, on his new album "Words of Wisdom". Vell Bakardy has also collaborated with the "Godfather of the Bay", Too Short, on a new single titled, "#1 Bitch" (Radio Version "#1 Chick"), also featuring Bishop Lamont.

I just got up on Vell Bakardy's old solo shit, Genuine Liqua Hits & Universal Game. He came wit it on both of em. Him & Rich got that bangin cut MO TALES on Universal Game.

Vell has said a lot of cats were heavily influenced by him. Tech is one, but it's some guys in the Bay and L.A. that you know Vell Bakardy was a strong influence on. Hell this is the internet so i'll see where this statement goes........Other rappers, besides Tech N9ne that were obviously influenced by Vell Bakardy and his grimy flow style in my opinion are Xzibit and Keak da Sneak. There are others, but those two immediately come to mind.
