I just finished it yesterday. Its about Sammy "The Bull" Gravano.

It was a very good read about him growing up, life in the mob........ & bringing down The Gambino Family by turning into a goverment witness.

Seems as though he did it mostly cuz he heard the FBI tapes & the was John Gotti betrayed him. A lot of people consider him a snitch, a rat(which he is) etc. but most people don't know he went on trial for murder hella years prior to that & didn't snitch but ended up beating the case. He also talks about how theirs no loyalty in Cosa Nostra cuz in the mob its suppose to be against the rules to use bombs or sale drugs cuz people are quicker to rat but a lot of people engaged anyways..... even some of the bosses.

Yeah but for some reason snitches come with the best storys(see Goodfellas & Paid In Full). Prolly cuz they're get into every detail that a non-rat wouldn't. The book is old but its still good.

I like Mafia books. I think I'm going to pick up Ice Man by Phillip Carlo next.

I don't think anyone who knows the real story or has read up on the case is giving Gotti a pass. Just mothafuckas that "heard" he was gangsta(rappers, siccness members, Irvin Lorenzo etc) but don't know shit else about him. I guess if u don't snitch or molest any kids u get a ur not that bad to people in the streets. I was watching American Justice on A & E hella years ago & they said somebody put hands on Gotti up in the pen. Sammy ratted but Gotti was just as unloyal.

Certain mob figgaz like Myron Lanski, Carlos Gambino & Lucky Luchiano I almost never hear bad shit about but I always read some greazy shit about Gotti. But he was still an interesting person never the less.

What I always find funny is that I've never heard of a white gangster from Cali. All the gangstas out here are minoritys.
