DENVER --
Fox 31 News has learned that Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry, the team's leading rusher, has tested positive for marijuana use and could be subject to a one-year suspension.

Henry, 28, previously served a four-game suspension from the National Football League for violating the leagues substance abuse policy in September 2005 as a member of the Tennessee Titans.

Henry can appeal the latest violation. However, if the appeal is denied, he will begin serving a one-year suspension immediately.

Henry can file for reinstatement 60 days prior to the end of the suspension.

The Denver Broncos had no official comment, instead, deferring to the NFL.

The Broncos signed Travis Henry in the off-season to a five-year, $22.5 million contract with $12 million in guarantees

He's not suspended yet

Young has been running harder than him the past 3 weeks

Mike Bell ran all over your asses last year and can still move back

there is a VEEERRRY good possiblity this gets over turned



yawn...this isn't even news for a few more weeks.

1 judge has already ruled in favor of Henry, that is why the NFL wants to get it into fed court where they have all the judges paid off!

Also, another thing I just read which makes some sense for the short term.....



welcome Corey Dillion to the Broncos!

nice change of pace, he will play for peanuts and still has some tough running left in him for a few games.

@thascary 1... boy you thought Vick was stupid. I think Henry will serve a 16 game suspension. And Corey Dillion? You can't be serious... Denver is in trouble....

please explain how we're in trouble? we still have the same back who ran al over teams last year...on top of that selvin young was running better and harder anyways.

We'll see... Henry is trying but a positive test is a positive test. And he's a repeat offender... what an idiot. If he's suspended I think he's done as a Denver Bronco.
