Just wondering what everybody's top 5 albums of the year were. Here are my personal Top 5:
Baby Bash-Super Saucy: The best cd out of the bay. He had a perfect mix of radio songs, plus a lot of bay area style songs and features. This cd stays in rotation.
Big Mike-Nawlins Phats: This is his comeback cd. He was in jail for a minute, but he hasn't lost any skills. This is one of the most slept on cds of the year. I didn't even know it came out until I saw it at Best Buy. If you like southern rap, or are an old fan of Big Mike, you should get this cd.
Circle of Tyrants: Ill Bill, Necro, Goretex, and Mr. Hyde are some crazy dudes. I know this is east coast, but this is one of the best cds of the year. The producion is awesome, the way they put some metal in their music, plus their vicious lyrics. It's awesome.
DJ Quik-Trauma: Combined with his mixtape, this is the best cd of the year. He rapped with more emotion than on any other cd, and he has always came with the best beats.
U-God-Mr. Xcitement: A lot of people slept on this cd. I think it's tight. Some of the hooks may have been a little corny, but the beats and the lyrics make up for it.
