IMHO there is no alltime list in anything. Sports, Music or whatever.
Reason is because its bigger then so many artist having different styles. The fact u can't compare artist & groups from different eras.
U can't compare Doug E. Fresh of the mid 80's to Point Blank of the mid 90's. Beastie Boys of the late 80's to Hot Boys of the late 90's. Ice Cube of early 90's to 50 Cent of today. Hell, u can't compare Cube of the early 90's to Cube of today. Completely different times. Different eras, different sounds in music & most artist lose there fire as time goes on. Rakim was ahead of his time when he first hit the scene & was the first rapper to throw complicated rhymes into his raps & either though he still got spits he aint ahead of his time anymore & nowhere close to where he was lyrically 20 years ago. Like I said before. Different eras.
Any person IMO who has an alltime list like this either doesn't know hip hop, is a kid or has the mind of a kid. This is the reason I don't say "alltime". I compare artist from certain eras.
But of course this is just my opinion.
@ Johnny K..... I see u got Big Daddy Kane on ur list. He was @ his hardest in the late 80's beginning of the 90's. U trying to say he was better then KRS-1 in the 80's & better lyrically better then Cube in the early 90's? Ome on now.
Crooked I has never dropped an album so he's not an established rapper IMO.
Big Pun dropped 2 albums in the late 90's. Lyrically he was not fucking with Face, Lynch, Jayo Felony, X-Raided,Sicx, AZ, Soulja Slim, E-40 & a lot of other rappers I could name.
Fabulous? He's not close to being the best MC from Brooklyn let alone an alltime great.
I could pick most ur list apart so easy but I just decided to pick a few.
