according to a guy on cold pizza this morning

lendale white and mike turner possibly one of the best RB tandems in the leauge????

dont see it happening......i know the titans wont give up there 1st and 3rd (thats what we would have to give up to them if we got him by signing him as a RFA.......)

but i think SD WILL take less for him.....if a team dont get him through RFA.....then sd will be force to take less or pay him another year and watch him leave and recieve NOTHING next year.....you know?

possibly something like the texans trade? 1st round pick and swap 2nd??

MooreBlock 530.... I agree with about Pacman's skills on the field. But Lendale White is garbage dog! Lil Turner be jammin' though. I wouldn't say this could be the best tandem because of the Saints... and The Bucs could draft Peterson to team him with Cadillac.

all i gotta say is that who ever gets turner the burner they wont be diappointed, homie is a good talent he always produced for us whenever we put 'em on the field.

thats what im saying...i HATE SD football for my own personal reasons......but i KNOW what turner can do...the only thing is i cant really imagine titans actively going after him for what the chargers will want....and if he is still in SD next year and hes unrestricted FA his numbers are going to be pretty big.....

i have some what faith in lendale white (he was prospected as the best OVERALL rb in 06 draft....and people THOUGHT after the NC game he was going to be picked as the second RB in the draft right behind his boy reggie..) but he came into the combine overweight and with nagging injurys.....and didnt have a proday

so lendale has to step it up this year with us losing TH regarldess......show the world that you WERE the best overral rb in last years draft....and piss off jacksonville and NE for not picking you instead of MJD and lawrnece (sp?) marroning (sp?)

he hasnt got to show us anythign yet? so i cant aruge and you cant say that....hes ypc average WAS over 4 yards a carry.....which is GOOD...but he handled the ball less then a 100 times.....

we didnt get to see what he could do partly because of travis henrys break out season as a titan and because of nagging injurys and he had a severe flu for like 2-3 weeks of the season......

Aight I'll give Lendale this year. I say he's not that good but we'll see how he does this season. If he was any good he would have had more carries so we'll see. If Turner comes in an takes the majority of the carries then Lendale might not be that good.

titans HAVNT signed turner yet and i highly doubt they will....lendale WILL be our guy next year....so its make it or break it for him......our success next season lies on his shoulders just as much as it lies on Vince Youngs shoulders......if lendale dont produce we will be in bad shape..

Teams show plenty of interest in Bolts' Turner

By: MIKE SULLIVAN - Staff Writer

SAN DIEGO ---- Chargers restricted free agent Michael Turner was a hot name over at the NFL meetings in Phoenix this week.

Teams looking for a starting running back are assessing whether to make a run at trading for Turner or filling their needs in the late-April NFL draft.

"There was a lot of activity," Chargers general manager A.J. Smith said. "Very interesting. We'll see what all the talk means.

"There's legitimate interest on a few teams' part. A couple others are asking."

Smith declined to discuss specifics in terms of interested teams or what offers he has fielded. But it's known that the Green Bay Packers are highly interested in Turner. The Buffalo Bills also have interest.

Green Bay recently lost Ahman Green to Houston via free agency and Buffalo traded Willis McGahee to Baltimore.

Four weeks ago, the Chargers placed the highest possible tender on Turner, guaranteeing him a $2.35 million salary for 2007 if he remains with the Chargers. The tender allows the Chargers to match any offer sheet that Turner receives from another team. It also means any team that signs Turner to a free-agent deal must give up a first- and third-round draft pick to the Chargers.

The high price has scared teams away from signing Turner to an offer sheet, so movement involving Turner will likely come only via trade.

Just last week, Houston traded for Atlanta quarterback Matt Schaub, a restricted free agent who also received the high tender. The Texans gave up two second-round picks, switched positions in the first round with the Falcons and signed Schaub to a six-year, $48-million contract.

Logic dictates any team interested in trading for Turner would also want to negotiate a long-term deal.

Turner's agent, Bus Cook, didn't return a phone message on Thursday.

Smith said there's no urgency on the part of the Chargers to make a deal involving Turner. Smith likes having Turner (502 yards in 2006) as an insurance policy in case of a serious injury to NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson.

"I don't have a timetable," Smith said. "Some of the teams might. They want to know if they have a back. I'm OK. I either have the running back or I have some draft picks."

Buffalo has the 12th overall selection of the draft and Green Bay has the 16th. Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson is expected to be chosen within the top five picks. California's Marshawn Lynch is expected to be scooped up by either the Bills or Packers, pending the teams' moves prior to the draft.
