yeah it would be best to get the biggest tablet you can though. it's all i use. it comes witha mouse to so you dont have to give it up.

yeah tablets are nice. I got a small as one but it works just the same, you can draw right into photoshop with the stylus, but what I like it for most is when I'm doing cutouts because you get alot more controll than a mouse, they take some getting used to but once you get comfortable they are as easy as using a pencil and paper
