Due to the annoyance of constant review threads, Ive decided to throw this up here. If you make a review for "Killer" please post it here.

PS I'm sure i've missed a couple feel free to add a quote to the list. Please keep useless posts to a minimum.

*WARNING* MAY CONTAIN ALBUM SPOILERS *WARNING*

Now to start off with the hate.

After reading all of the "killer is amazing" or "killer is great" topics, i'm beginning to wonder if everyone's expectations of Tech N9ne have been deminished.

Killer is very very dissapointing. The best song (the title track) isn't even on the god damn album.

The sex shit can go. If I wanted to hear about sex, i'd listen to R&B, not fucking Tech N9ne.

Alot of the songs are soft. And the songs that had alot of potential, sounds like Tech half assed them. He doesn't put the energy into his songs that he used to. He just talks across most of them like almost every other rapper nowadays.

"All Killer No Filler" ? For an album that is almost entirely filler, thats the slogan Tech came up with?

Bash me for this, call me whatever you want, but Tech has either lost it, or is bored with it at this point.

Kaliko's album sucked. Prozak's was mediocre. Tech's was mediocre. Grave Plott's was the best one so far surprisingly. At this point, Kutty and SS are the saviors of Strange Music.

If Tech and Travis want Strange to get any further in the industry then it is, they need to go back to that crazy shit like Anghellic and Absolute Power. Because this soft shit isn't cutting it.
I really think he did himself wrong on this album... I just got done listenen to it and basically you could of just titled this whole album "Cry Baby"...

I mean for realz, I feel ur pain Tech for all this shit you have had to go thru in this world and all the struggles and hurdles you have had to jump through to get to where you are today. But damn man you talk about it like 7-8 songs on this shit mane....

You are JUST NOW spreading around to everyone and now you come out talkin about your done and this is it, and this gonna be your last verse. Its like WTF? If someone who just now has heard of you, goes and gets Killer they are gona start the album off like hell yeah this shit is tha shit. But then as soon as they hit One Good Time, from there forwards its all about how you never made it, and how noone gives you the respect you deserve and blah blah blah....

What you should of done is just say fuck it, they dont wanna see me Ill just keep puttin out dope ass shit and keep the fans I do got breakin their fuckin necks to my shit. Not saying fuck everything you have done, basically saying what you got now "which is us" aint worth a shit... All those tracks you could of just put straight bangers, but yet you waste em with just bitchin about how you aint makin it... Your on the verge of breaking that line between underground and mainstream and u just said fuck it to the whole thing and wasted half the album...
Onto the more realistic reviews.

Fucking great. Killer 1 is hard as fuck... Killer 2 is masterfully written.. Tech has done it again...Killer is for sure Killer... only one skippable for me, and its just the end of I Am Everything..

Wheaties is great, Tech and Shawnna kill it. Im loving the Get the Fuck Outta Here beat... Everyone puts it down aswell. The Waitress is an instant favorite.. unbelievably catchy. Tech rips CryBaby..Shit Is Real is the shit.. love the concept. Blackboy is a sick feature track.. again everyone puts it down. Great lyrics in Pillow Talkin. but I dont like the chorus as much.. maybe it'll grow on me.

The Dark Side is really on some other shit.. Tech unleashed his flow on these tracks, completely murdering each verse. How fucking good is Hope For A Higher Power? WOW. Poisonous has a hypnotic feel and leads into Too Much very well.. Too Much had me flippin out. Tech and Kutt need more tracks together...

I need to listen to the second disc again to break it down.. but my first listen was very good. im loving both

I think we should have running Killer review thread. If someone wants to do that, you can just move this post to that.

Here we go:

Disc 1

1.Dr.Fraziers Office - Good intro skit

13.Worst Case Scenario - Good skit heading into Psycho Bitch 2!
14.Psycho Bitch 2 - Just as good as Psycho Bitch 1. Love the Phantom of the Opera sample, and the hook is awesome and catchy. I really didn't mind LA's verse at all, wish it would have been Brotha Lynch though...9.5/10
15.Poisonous - Ya'll sleepin on this track. Liz Suwandi has a beautiful voice, and the beat is very good. Tech rips it, the song kind of has a hypnotic feel to it. 9/10
16.Too Much - Im feelin it the more I play it, of course Tech and Kutt deliver. 7.5/10

Disc 2

1.I Love You But Fuck You - Tech at his best, great hook. I was really diggin this when I heard the short little snippet of it, and it didn't dissappoint. 9/10.
2.One Good Time - One of my fav. Tech tracks of all time. Really emotional, great beat, fantastic hook. I can't stop playin it. 10/10
3.Drill Team - This is the only song I'm not really feelin. The beat is just too bland for me it needed somethin else. Wasn't really feelin the hook either. 5/10.
4.Beat You Up - Tech and Scoob were great, the other features werent bad either. And I liked the beat alot too. Havent heard many ppl talk about this song either. 7.5/10
5.Let's Go - This song just makes me want to move and nod my head. Fantastic beat, and I thought Tech and Kutt outshined Fab too. 9/10.
6.Why Ya Ain't Call Me - Great song. I realy don't think it's a "whiny" track at all, he's got a point. 8/10
7.Seven Words - Sounds like an R&B track, pretty good song. Love the seven words. 7/10
8.Sexorcist - To be honest, I haven't heard the full thing.
9.Killa Call - Havent heard this either.
10.Enjoy - Another slept on track IMO. Im diggin the beat. 7/10
11.Elbow Macaroni - LOL. Funny as fuck. 10/10
12.I Am Everything - Not a big fan of KMK at all, so I thought this would be a track I would not like, but I was wrong. Good song. 7/10
13.Happy Ending - Took me a couple listens, but I'm def feelin it now. The hook is catchy too. 8/10
14.Can't Shake It - Another song I haven't heard many ppl talk about. Another catchy ass hook and I love the beat. 8.5/10
15.Holier Than Thou - It was different than what I expected, but not bad at all. 7/10
16.Last Words - Like Happy Ending, it took me a couple listens to feel it, but Kali brings it again on the hook, and Tech is just amazing. 8/10

Overall - 9.5/10

Right up there with Anghellic. Definetely buying this July 1st. Wish I could buy 2 copies but I is too broke to do so.

Thank you Tech for another masterpiece.

DISC 01

Dr. Frazier's Office (Intro Skit):
I generally dont really feel the "filler" skits that Strange has been doing (ie Vitiligo) But this idea was done nicely. Plus the little bit of fucking with everyone had me laughin.

Like Yeah:
Due to excessive plays before release, i'll try and be as un-biased as possible.
A great high energy song. Love the 300 reference from the get go. Great placement of the song, got me hyped ready to sit back for the next 3 hours.

Wheaties (Feat. Shawnna):
Personally, i love this song. With mixed reviews from elsewhere, I've come to my opinion that if you dont enjoy female rappers, this probably isnt for you. If you enjoy rap for exactly that, rap, then this song is bad. Was great to hear Kali's chorus mixed in with the female (presuming Shawnna's) voice. Was a bit worried that the song name would be done cornily, but overall a solid ass song.

Everybody Move:
Also a previously excessively played out song. Overall this song achieves exactly what the aim was, MOVE. High energy got me even more pumped up for what wad ahead.

Get The Fuck Outta Here (Feat. The Popper & Paul Wall):
Great show of Tech's versatility. Although not the typical spit fire tech that we're used too, i believe Techs verse was done well. The Popper had me on the fence at first listen, due to a different speed on the song. After further review his verse has grown on me. Over all matches the song. Paul Wall, although he did stick somewhat to his familiarities he did the slower, C&S style beat real justice.

The Waitress:
Was highly anticipating this song, due to the "Sinister Tech" style beat. (All over, up and down melody) At first listen the production didnt seem to flow with every other song we had heard up to this point, although the lyrical content and song premise made up for that. Good, Classic Tech N9ne.

Crybaby:
Finally what i've been waiting to hear. Tech got on some real shit, and let it be known what was on his mind. Only a preview of the emotions to follow. The creative beat had me from the beginning.

Shit Is Real:
Rock haters beware. This song in my opinion is on some real shit. I know anyone thats ever been into the party scene can relate to what is being said. Although like stated before, if you generally dont find yourself enjoying the rock sound, this song may not be for you.

Blackboy (Feat. Brother J, Ice Cube & Krizz Kaliko):
Being a white boy from the suburbs I couldn't quite relate to the song. BUT everyone's verses are correct. I would have loved to hear a little bit more "bells and whistles" around Cubes verse. (Similar to the whoops at the beginning of J's verse.) Overall didnt disappoint on such a great Collabo.

Pillow Talkin' (Feat. Scarface) :
The catchy Chorus caught my attention. Reminding me of a Gypsy/Belly Dancer. Although on further review, not one of my favorites of the album. May go as far as to say it may become a "skipper". Scarface's verse didn't impress in quite the way i was hoping.

Paint A Dark Picture (Feat. Dirtball):
A great transition, with a very catchy chorus. Overall this is the Tech i was hoping wouldnt be lacking, and with this song alone I would have been fine. A great intro into the dark songs too follow. Loved the use of the reverse talk, that actually kept with the rhyme scheme. Dirtball went above my expectations, given they weren't that high, as i didn't know much about the guy.

Hope For A Higher Power:
Was excited to hear what followed after hearing the sampler snips. Happy to report it didnt disappoint. A very well thought out song, with the exception of the constant referral to ammunition. (In no way shape or form did that take anything from the song.) Overall a very nice song.

Worst Case Scenario (Skit):
Nice intro, but a bit long for the subject. Who is Scenario anyway? The R&B song played was actually not bad. (I'm presuming its Krizz's rendition) Was hyped when a realised what the skit was turning into near the end. Overall accomplished what it was created to do.

Psycho Bitch II (Feat. Liquid Assassin):
The hype built up around the beat had me feeling a bit lacking, it doesnt detract from the song at all. This is one of the gems of the entire album. Was glad to hear the similarities to the OG. On first listen, the small change up with Krizz singing threw me off, but does in fact fit the song well. Also upon first listen wasnt feeling Liquid Assassin as much as i was hoping, but thats started to change with a few more listens. Overall a great fucking song, and I'm happy to report that.

Poisonous (Feat. Liz Suwandi):
Had me a little confused at first, thinking maybe i had skipped to the Sextion a bit early. I honestly thought Britany Spears had dropped a chorus for the album. Take a close listen, this song and its topic is a nice addition into the Dark Side. Overall not my cup of tea, but not a horrible song at all. Kinda catchy to be honest.

Too Much (Feat. Kutt Calhoun):
A nice beat, had me somewhat expecting a pick up somewhere along the line. Kutt did the damn thing on the track. And with Techs spit fire spit that had been in somewhat low quantity till this point it caught me. Could have done with a different closing out song for the first disc, but overall not bad.

DISC 02

I Love You But Fuck You:
Like stated before, this is the shit i was waiting to hear. The more personal Tech and his experiences appeal to me, and this was a great opener for the CD. A nice last verse was icing on the cake. Great to hear some real shit, which is lacking from most modern rap.

One Good Time:
Holly Shit. Was everything i was hoping and more. The beat was done nicely, and with the heart put behind the lyrical content, this song is an instant classic. Yet again what i've been waiting to hear from Tech in a long while. This could have been the only "Fuck you, this shits tiring" song on the entire album and i would have been satisfied.

Drill Team (Feat. Snug Brim, BG Bulletwound & Krizz Kaliko):
Overall a bit bland in comparison to some of the other tracks on the album. Although its always nice to hear Strange Camp/Affiliates on a track together.

Beat You Up (Feat. Lebowski, The Weapon & ???):
Yet again the internet ruined a song for me a bit. The hype built up around the "Special Guest" had me expecting more. Not a bad song in its own right, but still a bit bland.

Let's Go (Feat. Kutt Calhoun & Mista Fab):
Everybody dropped a clean verse. Although nothing through the fucking roof, it fit the bill of "All Killer no Filler". Also one that was near played out by the time i peeped the entire album, which may have an affect on the review.

Why You Ain't Call Me:
Another great addition to the album. Tech is speaking his mind, and you better duck. Speaks on a lot of situations that most us "internet folk" have speculated on. Glad to see someone speaking their mind instead of kissing ass constantly.

Seven Words (Feat. Skatterman & Krizz Kaliko):
Not a bad intro into the Sextion. The seven words had me laughing my ass off. I've yet to be the girl when listening to Killer, especially the Sextion, so until then I cant speculate on it until i put it to the test.

The Sexorcist (Infomercial) (Feat. Krizz Kaliko):
The infomercial part of the song had me reminded of Stallion. A nice sound to it. Will have a further review when i get a chance to test. haha

Killa Call (Skit):
Could have done without this skit. Seemed a bit more like it was thrown on as to include Killa C on the album. And why in gods name would you think i'd want to listen to Killa C's voice in the middle of the SEXTION.

Enjoy (Feat. Krizz Kaliko & Bosko):
Still yet, another nice sounding lady time song. The chorus does get a bit repetitive. Was kinda of intriguing to hear a more extreme voice effect on a Tech song. *Ending upon review*

Elbow Macaroni (Skit):
Funny as fuck to me. Some people find it funny, some people dont find it funny at all. Find out for yourself. ELBOW MACARONI BITCH!!!

I Am Everything (Feat. Hed P.E. & Kottonmouth Kings):
Rock haters beware. A nice show of the versatility yet again. KMK did better than i had previously expected, although still one of the weakest features on the album. The singer from hed P.E. actually fit the feel more than i had expected also. A bit repetitive but i actually enjoyed this one.

Happy Ending:
Shit gave me the chills from the get go. Especially after the reference to the "Anghellic" song. (Dont wanna ruin it for the un educated) Shit caught my attention with its lyrical content and deepness of lyrics. Yet again a great venting song. Where was this shit on Everready?

Can't Shake It (Feat. Krizz Kaliko & Robert Rebeck):
Beat was a little different than i expected for a Tech song. Probably the weakest of the heart felt shit.

Holier Than Thou (Feat. Krizz Kaliko & Strange Lane Choir):
Not a bad song at all. Although a bit ironic that the entire 3rd verse is kind of contradicting. How can you be on a Hollier than Thou tip, but talk shit cause the dude you wanted didnt come through. Love thy neighbor anyone? Strange Lane Choir was a nice addition, but didnt rocket this song to the top of the list.

Last Words:
I may be a bit biased on this track, due to excessive mdma intake at time of listening. To me, this track is the ultimate FUCK YOU if you aren't behind me track. Tech brings the realness back to rap with the truth from his lyrics. In my opinion i found this to be a perfectly fitting last track. The "bells and whistles" werent needed in this one. The message is enough to carry this song into the classic list for me.

I know I don't necessarily warrant a review but I thought I'd give my two cents and write a review too (not that I know anything)...Just thought I'd give another point of view.

DISC ONE

1. Dr. Fraziers Office Enjoyable...good start to the album. Paints a picture for what's to come.

2. Like Yeah Great song. I don't think it fully receives the credit it deserves because it was a track before the album came out. If I hadn't heard it so much it would be on of the best. 9/10

3. Wheaties I'm not feeling this as much as the other people were. Good, solid track, not my fav though. 6.5/10

4. Everybody Move Again, I've heard this track too much. Sounds like a rowdier Bout To Bubble...which I didn't find too deep. Decent though. 7/10

5. Get The Fuck Outta Here This is one of those tracks that you can just turn the hell up and cruise to. It's got great bass and hits well in my pickup. Not too lyrically deep, but fun to listen to. 8/10

6. The Waitress One of the weakest tracks on both discs IMO. The beat is annoying and Tech doesn't sound into it. 5/10

7. Crybaby Great beat. The "crying" was an amazing addition to the beat. It's funny because it's such a true song. 7.5/10

8. Shit Is Real I like the beat. Mr. Stinky is kinda annoying. Maybe it's an acquired taste. Decent song...not my fav. 6.5/10

9. Blackboy Cube coulda done a lot better. Brother J came correct. His verse is probably the best on this feature. Mediocre. 7/10

10. Pillow Talkin A skipper for me. Tech's got some cool rhyme schemes. Face was meh. 6.0/10

11. Paint A Dark Picture Good song. Great start to the dark side. I like the into at the beginning. Dirtball was tight as hell and I like the hook a lot. Tech had some good flow here. As Neb said, needs another Tech verse. 9/10

12. Hope For A Higher Power The Jim Jones speech at the beginning is genious. Adds a hauntingly dark aspect to the song. My 3rd favorite on the album. The chick that's singing kinda starts to annoy me after awhile. Well thought out. 9.5/10

13. Worst Case Scenario (Skit) Coulda done without.

14. Psycho Bitch II I really enjoyed this sequel. As has been said, second songs are rarely better than the original but this song comes close. The "psycho bitch" at the beginning sounds like some of my ex girls so I had to laugh when I heard it. I like how they kept a lot of the similarities that the first song had. I think the first verse is some of the fastest flow on the album and the fast we've heard in a long long time. I like this one a lot. 9.5/10

15. Poisonous It's different. Liz Suwandi sounded good and it was a cool change. Not traditional Tech which is fine. This is one of those tracks that feel like Tech is just talking over the beat. 6.5/10

16. Too Much The shocker out of both discs. The beat is fucking great with the drums and strings. It sounds like it belongs in an epic scene of a movie or something. Another amazing flow from Tech and Kutt held his own too. My 2nd favorite on both albums. Hit's hard, flows fast, a "stompdashitoutu" track. 9.5/10

DISC TWO

1. I Love You But Fuck You Another solid track. On some personal shit here. I've found myself bumping it a lot. Genius idea. Great song. 8.5/10

2. One Good Time In the top 3 of my favorite Tech tracks of all time. Amazing, amazing, amazing track. I love the beat and lyrics. This is one track that would have been a lot worse without Kalli on it. The hook is sweet and just an overall bomb ass track. 10/10

3. Drill Team Not a great song. Not a bad song. 4/10

4. Beat You Up Fairly repetitive. A "fight song" if you will. I could see playing it if you're rolling out to kick some honkey's ass. Hits hard. Not much more than that. 6/10

5. Let's Go Another one that I played too much before the CD leaked. Not terrible but not spectacular either. Catchy beat. 6.5/10

6. Why You Ain't Call Me The beat lacked. Good thought and clever lyrics. The "popping bubble" sound in the back (you can hear it if you listen closely) bugs me, but that's just being too analytical. 7/10

7. Seven Words Good song to fuck Bianca's and Beatrice's. (7 Words)

8. The Sexorcist "Is sex with her so boring that you think of other women when you're with her". No, but this unnecessary filler is. *Presses next track*

9. Killa Call I'm not so sure how this fits in. I'm from Montana and immediately noticed Killa C's annoying Montana accent. Pointless.

10. Enjoy Or not...I don't like it. 5.5/10

11. Elbow Macaroni ???

12. I Am Everything Decent. I like (hed) P.E.'s verse. Coulda done without KMK. A once a week listener. 7/10

13. Happy Ending The beat being so quiet and simple was well thought out. This song is a good one that show's Tech's lyrical talent. Good track. 8/10

14. Can't Shake It Too much Kalli. Too soft. Too slow. Too bad. (Good flow haha) I need to give it a better listen. 6.5/10

15. Holier Than Thou The choir was a cool addition. Well thought out lyrics. Not a bad song. 7/10

16. Last Words This song is decent but it didn't leave me wanting more. He shoulda had a banger as the last track. It's cool they incorporated the "Dr. Frazier" section in it. Closes the album like a story which works. Clever lyrics. Decent ending.

Overall 8.5/10

The songs on this album that were great were GREAT. Some of the best shit I've heard from Tech. The songs that were mediocre didn't bring the overall quality and style of the album down. There's always going to be tracks that some people like and others don't. That's just the nature of the beast. Killer was the welcomed suprise that I've been jonesing for for the last 3 years. Over time, with more listens, it could easily come to be one of his best albums. I still like AP, Anghellic, and Everready a lot so it'll be difficult for this one to overtake them. It's an incorporation of new and old styles however that will help this album succeed and be true standout in a world of mediocre hip-hop. It's about time Tech gets what he deserves.

As I said before, I don't think I'm a writer for Blender or XXL or something, I just thought I'd share my two cents.

Who needs a gun license to own a gun?

If I felt the need I could drive over to north Minnehopelis and have my choice right now, ranging in price from $100-$1000

but anyway, yeah... Hope for a Higher Power is the shit, everything from the beat, to the flow, to the lyrics, to the hook, is spot on....

Let me start by saying, to me, this is not in Anghellic's range beginning to end..sorry maybe it's just me but that cd is safe has my fav of all Tech cd's by a large margin still.

I give this about an 8 out of 10, now that's has a tech fan and using my range from what I was expecting. I could easily see radio rapper fan boys saying this cd is a 4 or 5 range because it's shit they are not used to hearing.A few songs I can skip and be ok not hearing (seven words, sexorcist being 2 of them), but there are also a couple that may be in my top 5 fav tech songs now (One Good Time, Last Words). This is just Tech being Tech, way better than the shit being played now but what else is new. Overall even not liking the 2 songs I said above I like disc 2 better than disc 1, Maybe disc 1 will grow more on me as I listen more, but first listen through 2 is better IMO.
