I think sidewayz needs to put out some solo projects by their artists,The young rappers are the future and sometimes you gotta take a back seat.I think the problem is when the albums have too many features,and collabs..if you gonna do a mixtape,or comp..maybe the artists may each have a solo or two,and cllab on the rest.When you do an album with all the collabs there sometimes isnt a consistency,or sometimes certain artist dont sound well with another..whether they both tight or not.I respect everyones opinion,and everyones free to voice that...but If I was gonna start a thread saying a whole camp or project is wack I would be more specific.No ones perfect and we all truly are trying to elevate,so input is valuable,and just saying someone is wack dont help.For example I reviewed lil c.s. mobkingz and gave my honest opinion...I said what I liked what I didnt and what I thought could make them better,of course Im just one opinion,But if I sat back and said nothing then I would show that I was fake,and just politicking...it was hard for me to do that cause when you respect an artist and on an individual level you know they are good people its hard because you know they put there heart and soul into it,thats why I cover all the good points and ones I feel need work...and always stress its just my opinion.Ifeel we need to be more honest with one another cause I hear people post songs and then everyone come and say that was hot.I also know we all have different taste as far as styles..but there still is common grounds in all styles...production(beats) sound quality,vocal delivery,concepts...you should be able to listen to any kind of music whether it be rap,rock,country and be able to recognize a good song whether you like that genre or not.I have been guilty of saying some things are tight when they are o.k or good,I try to balance my honesty,because Im a harsh critic,and I dont wanna discourage..I wanna encourage.I hope that this thread can open some minds,because I feel if an artist is gonna promote through the siccness and post there songs ...they should be open to sugestions,ideas,and criticism......lets also remember as a label business decisions arent made over one persons opinions,or preferences...look at laffy taffy...at the end of the day bills need to be paid..I just hoipe we have the integrity to not have to stoop to gimmicks...lets just be honest and help eleveate the game.
