On Friday, June 18, two of California’s most respected street MCs, Kurupt Youngotti and Daz Dillinger aka Tha Dogg Pound take over the Rockit Room’s live stage, shredding 16s and riding Cali street anthems deep into the summer night.
With dozens of albums between them, years of collaboration with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur and a vast crew of west coast affiliates, the duo comes prepared to set off a party. One can expect the veteran pair to pummel hungry fans with a tremendous catalog of g-funk rap hits including “Let’s Play House,” “What Would You Do?” “New York, New York,” “Big Pimpin,” “We Can Freak It,” “Girls All Pause,” “Who Ride Wit Us,” and many more.
Local promoter, uber-versatile DJ and recent food channel celebrity as the personality behind and co-owner of Papalote Mexican Grill, DJ Mr.E handles the party rockin duties before and after. Opening acts include Cypress Hill affiliate thekeenone and local talent Beatiki and Sincere.
The intimate Rock-it Room boasts an outstanding PA sound system and a fully stocked bar with clear view of the live stage.
