Im sick of people sayin that shit. If your a fan of Bay Area rap/hip hop, it never went anywhere I grew up off Bay area classic albums, which obviously where classic only in the bay, and thats all good. I mean the artists didn't make money really, expect for maybe 40, luniz, short, and a few others we all are quite familiar with. But thats cuzz they didn't make the right moves, or just didn't have the sound that a nation wide audience would appreciate.. o fuckin well thats why its bay shit, we have a diffrent vibe out here u kno???? So if ur sayin the bay is back cuzz we r mainstream and takin over? well everyone knows thats bullshit, if you mean we get nation wide recognition? O for sure we always have.... Even the biggest rap stars come through and show loves to our local stars, kno what I mean?

Right now is a great time for bay music becuzz our local stations actually play local artists now, and only have for the last 2 years.. unless ur talkin like 2 am and u would hear old school RBL and shit.

anyways stop and think before you start claimin the bay is back.. cuzz we never left!

umm TBIB is ment for the limelight side of things, we all know tha bay been doin thangs, but we havnt be in tha light to shine for it, that why errybody reppin TBIB.

So what does that mean? You want the bay to be mainstream?

Cuzz thats the only way the artist's will ever experience the limelight side of things..
Bay area rap fans download / burn every CD you cant expect sales to be big here

What's funny is that TBIB was really like a joke a few years ago. Now (new) people use it seriously.

Here's the thing though... All the new radio play and video play is great and it is a stepping stone, but the Bay is not back YET. I really hope we get there just like everyone else does, but I think people are jumping the gun. It's way too early for TBIB.

Once big units start being moved on a consistent basis, then that acronym makes sense.

I see it being used more jokingly. Its funny to see someone reply "TBIB" when a little positive has happened to the Bay. I don't think you should take it that seriously or stress about it.

that statement might make you hater certified on these boards. but i agree with you, and all this shit like its gonig to the bay is going to blow after so and so's cd drops.
