Hello Everyone,
What a relief it is that it’s no longer supposed to be “hush hush” that I’m going to be on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. The people I’m closest to can vouch for me that I really did my best to keep it a secret. One day, Johnny Knoxville came to pick me up to go do my first motorcycle jump for the Nitro Circus and he thought something was really wrong with me. I was squirming around and he says he was thinking that “sobriety really had my back up against the wall.” Knoxville thought I was having unbearable cravings for drugs and alcohol but, really, I was just dying to tell him that I was going to be dancing. When I wound up telling him (after about five minutes) he told me how worried I’d had him. I don’t know what I ever did to deserve a friend like Johnny, and the rest of my friends and family that have loved me so unconditionally—I don’t know how to properly thank them, and all of you. I will just try my ass off to become the best ballroom dancer I can be and, oh boy, am I starting from scratch…
