This police performance package equipped 2001 Chevrolet Impala is painted a special dark blue with charcoal grey reflective TPS stripping and identification markings along its side. As can be seen in the accompanying photo, the stripping is almost invisible under normal lighting, but is easily seen when directly illuminated. The vehicle has a "clean" roof without the normal emergency lighting package. Instead, it is equipped with strobe lights on the dash, in the rear window, and at the side roof pillars. In addition, it has grill mounted red lights, and a push bar. It is not readily identifiable as a police vehicle by drivers overtaking it, or seeing it in their rear-view mirrors, thus the Stealth designation.

They've got unmarked cars all over Tucson. They have a lot of those Impalas. There's a purple one that takes it's breaks right down the street from my pad. A bitch drives it too. It looks like that one above, but there is no reflective stripping, and the grill doesn't have that bar added on to it. You can't tell it's a cop car until they turn on their strobe lights. I just look for the tinted windows, but it hard to drive over the speed limit on the freeways down here. They recently got these all white or all black F-150s... they're probably the '98 models. Same thing with them, you can't tell till they turn their sirens on.
