Stanly Kubrick is one of the most original writer's of all time. He might be a little old and unpolished for some of these cats. but, when it comes down to it most his concepts were and are too extreme for the average joe. I just wanna see how the rest of the world views him.

Yeah but you know Speilberg did that right? Kub' wrote it but never finished it. You should check out the DVD and the behind the movie story. The flick is a lot better when you know the history behind it.

AI sucked. Probably would have been dope had it been done by Kubrick.

I wouldn't call him much of a writer either. I mean he wrote screen plays, but all of his films from Lolita on were books first, he just adapted them for the screen.

People need to go pick up Paths of Glory, that shit is classic.

Paths of Glory (1957)

Directed by
Stanley Kubrick

Writing credits
Humphrey Cobb (novel)
Stanley Kubrick (screenplay)

Staring:
Kirk Douglas - Col. Dax

The futility and irony of the war in the trenches in WWI is shown as a unit commander in the French army must deal with the mutiny of his men and a glory-seeking general after part of his force falls back under fire in an impossible attack.

Writer-director Stanley Kubrick's powerful antiwar statement stars Kirk Douglas as Col. Dax, commander of a weary regiment of the French army along the western front during World War I. When French generals order the regiment to carry out what amounts to a suicide mission against heavy German fire, some of the men refuse. But when the army tries three of the soldiers on charges of cowardice, Dax acts as their defense attorney.
