I got court tomorrow for a speeding ticket and I'm wondering a couple things. First off, is it possible to fight off the ticket? Is it wise to plead not guilty and try to fight it? What means or circumstances lead to the judge revoking the ticket, or is it not very likely? Any help is appreciated...
Some important details of the ticket:
1) He clocked me at 81 mph in a 65 mph area.
2) I was going with the flow of the traffic, and not only did he pull me over, but two cars ahead of me as well, who were going just as fast, if not faster than I. But, he got on the mic and told the two cars up ahead that they could go on and that he only wanted me.
3) When he was giving me my ticket, he saw the Sac State parking pass I had and explained to me that he attended the same school and graduated in '82. An approximate quote he told me: "I graduated from there to be a Park Ranger but they wouldn't hire me because I was white. So I ended up doing this. [CHP]"
Do I have any chance to fight this? Because it's about $400 and that shit is gonna kill me.
