I was listening to shake the spot by keak the other night and I was trippin on some purple killa when I started to think about some shit. Keak bites hard on snoops flow for that song, the way the lyrics are set up and everything, but the lyrics themselves are so tight it stays hella bayish. So the next song comes on and Im still trippin on that kill remember, its stoopid doo doo dumb by you best know who... and then I start thinkin, this dude is one of a kind fo shizzle,... hes off the thizzle, I cant think of one cat that flows like this, under or above ground. What other rapper keeps it so chill yet at the same time so thuggish. Well, if you wann talk style wise I think Snoop is on the level with him. They both have that chill about them that no other rappers Ive ever heard got. And nothing but love to Snoop, Snoops the shit for real. But I think the furly pimps that style way hotter the snoop.

Anyway point is, my trippy ass is still curious how deep Snoop is connected in the bay? what eees it?

Fuck that purp is droppin bombs in my dome, i forgot. Im sure anyone who knew fat tone did it knew he was about to get dropped. But who brought that dude to the gunmen? From what I heard, someone dropped snoops name to him talkin about he might have a chance to collab if he went to this place and met him. Im not sayin snoop had anything to do with his own name dropping, hes too big to get tangled up in that. But then again, snoops too big to get tangled up in that, and his name WAS dropped, feel me?

Ive actually read in a old interview that Snoop has said that one of his biggest influences as a kid was 415 (richie rich). Thats why his first group was called 213.

Snoops flow definetly sounds a lot like richie rich, very smooth and laid back

Snoop sounds a lot like Richie Rich?? That's news to me.

And LMAO @ "Snoop done bit his whole style from the Bay"

TBIB!! :ermm:
He used to bite off Richie Richs old flow, back when he was in 415. Snoop used to rap juss like him, but when he started to blow up he changed up his flow.

Snoop fell off after Doggystyle. And I have to agree with Vinylfiend, Snoop's flow is very similar to Richie Rich aside from the raspy voice. I think I read somewhere that Snoop was inspired by Richie Rich in his 415 days...

Snoop has been in the game too long, to not respect Northern Cali and give props to where he got his game from. Disect Snoop and you get: Too Short (Biatch & Pimpin), E-40/3XCrazy (fizzle dizzle, fa sheezy), and porbably Richie Rich (smooth flow). That gangbangin shit is all him tho. I can only think of the song he did with Lynch as far as a Nor Cal Collabo goes.

Just cause Snoop has a SMOOTH delivery, doesn't mean he BIT Richie Rich's flow. Any of you ever heard Snoop talk? He's just a laid back, smooth talkin' cat...always has been. You wouldn't expect Snoop to be a RAH RAH type rapper when he isn't normally a RAH RAH type cat. Ya feel me?

"He bit his whole Style from the bay", now that's just funny to me. I apply 2Pac's principles to my music...which means, I say it how I FEEL it. If I'm pist off, you'll know, if I'm sad, you'll know...etc. etc. Does this mean I got my game and style from the bay or that I bit 2Pac? No, and no. I've always been the type to express raw human emotion...Pac just showed me that all of it can be laid out over music and remain melodic and harmonious. My music isn't labeled "Bay"...nor am I a "Pac Biter". So I don't understand how Snoop "bit" Double R or "got all his game from the bay" because he raps in a mellow tone.

Oh, and don't use the excuse that he says FA SHIZZLE and BIATCH!! IF words are your reason, you have no argument, cause that would mean we're all guilty of biting English books and the dictionary...and you would have to attack him for saying SHIT, FUCK, DICK, PUSSY, ASS, GOING, THROUGH, POUND, FLEAS, MY, NAME, IS...lol.

"Biting" somebody and being INFLUENCED by somebody are two totally different things. You show me a rapper who hasn't been influenced by somebody and I'll show you a rapper who's full of shit. Snoop doesn't owe Double R or the bay anything for influencing him. Instead of gettin' bent over it, y'all should be thankful that such a large, POSITIVE figure, admits that somebody up here influenced him as an artist.

I don't care what Snoop does as far as slang or whatever. He changed his game to cater to himself, his artistic needs, not us. Outside of the studio, he does more shit for the community and for children than most people in the game. He's humble, he's giving, he's a REAL person. Hate the man all you want, but he does what a lot of people aren't willing to do...and that is, donate his time and money to OTHER people.

He makes money, and he uses it for good things...so I don't give a shit who came up with what word or who did the laid back thing first. Fact of the matter is, he does it all unselfishly.
