Yeah, Canada Post's a fuckin joke. They've lost so much of my mail. But, 99% of the time, it's Customs who charges the extra money. They're the ones that charges ya the tax and all the other costs. I think Canada Post only charges the $5 handling fee.
Anyways, smaller packages (like a single cd or 2) will go straight into the mailbox and ya won't get charged. But, if the package has to be special delivered, then you're paying. A way of gettin around it is when Vamps (for example) sends the package out through his post office and has to fill out that lil slip askin what's inside the package, the price of its worth, gift? merchandise? etc. etc.? he should right down that it's a gift with a worth of bout $5. Inside, jus say promotional items. If you're sendin out like 10 cds, don't write the worth at 100 cause then, when I get it in canada I get charged GST, PST and the handling fee. All that comes up to $19.50 extra. Jus put a cheap price, gift and promotional items inside like flyers, t-shirt and some promo cds. It's that simple.
Later!!
